I don't follow any other slender series, but I've seen several videos from EMH and TribeTwelve. I saw HABIT a few times, and I have to agree with awakeasaurusrex. Just a bit over the top and ridiculous. There's too much unnecessary cursing in TribeTwelve as well, and both of the series lack subtlety. I'm glad Marble Hornets never crossed over with any of them.

I'm not saying that there isn't some truth to what he's saying, but Geneaux is also right. For a first major performance, Evan is pretty damn impressive. And they at least actually made a character out of HABIT, instead of just using him as a convenient excuse to drop plot clues, which could have been done by a disembodied Hoody, if Trosephim wanted. And you can't tell me that you didn't get the feeling that shit hit the fan when HABIT finally made his appearance. Hoody, by contrast, I feel like the most he ever did for the plot was drop dead & add to Tim's angst.

For the record, I think it would have been better if Evan just used his normal voice for HABIT. The change in mannerisms & attitude would have been enough to make us feel like this was a different character, & it would have been more eerie. But it's too late to change it now, & what we have really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. At most, I just want them to cut his screentime down by a small amount.

On that video: "Scenes from Alex Kralie's Marble Hornets."

I want this DVD now.

It has been a fun ride you guys. I only joined up around Surveillance but it has been pretty fun reading some of the arguments you guys got into. I missed the hell out of Pravado, also Twisted Puppet and Serum in their turns.

I'm glad I was able to turn some of you to happier thoughts with the Happy Thread.

Wish I would've posted more.

Hey, does anyone know if they have plans to do some kind of box set for all 3 seasons?

I even managed to meet the MH guys (Troy, Tim, Joseph, and Brian) at the Geek Media Expo in 2012. That was fun. I never have been able to interview them on Marble Operator, and now I'm afraid I never will.

Jesus, are you dying, or something?

No, just worded that incorrectly.

Don't make us worried!

I don't like this thread anymore.

I'll never probably get to meet them as I live outside the US :/

As far as people who think maybe it's not over yet:

By now I think it really has ended, but if any of you are determined to hold on to hope that there's one more video, there's this: it's possible (though extremely unlikely) that when they say it's over they just mean they've finished making all the entries- not that they've all been uploaded yet. This, of course, begs the question "why haven't they uploaded the final entry if it's done" but you can still cling to this if you wish.

That said, as far as getting more answers go, at this point I think the best thing would be some bonus videos on the DVD to fill in some holes if anything- perhaps some videos that are not limited by found footage and show stuff that happened when the camera wasn't running.

Or some additional 2006 tapes like the ones that were burned beyond being viewable. I'd be down for that too.

Neither of which is super-likely to happen, but still.

Over on Marble Operator, I recorded a two-hour episode where co-hosts and I discuss the final Entry, the ending of Marble Hornets, and our thoughts on the series as a whole. The episode is now available for download.
