Am I alone in thinking it's weird that people would unsubscribe to MH channel in the first place? Are people really going "well, MH is over; guess I'll unsubscribe now"?

Or maybe I'm the weird one. I'm definitely watching at least parts of it again, so staying subscribed is the easiest way to do that. Unless I'm looking for a more book club-esque experience; then I come here so I can watch the video, and then read the discussion thread for it. I went through the whole series like that once back when the entries were still in the 70's. Fun, especially when I got far enough along in the series to start reading my own posts and feel paranoid about the ones I couldn't remember making Very Happy.

They said the channel isnt over yet.

Yes, with a few caveats. And nobody mentioned those caveats before I posted what I posted there. Caveats that clear up possible misconceptions from people hearing the information from a third party.

Marble Hornets "As we know it" is over. The story is done. Boom. Finished. They're going to be utilizing the channel for god only knows what soon, though.

Tim goes on to use the channel to make Let's Play videos.

Each episode consists of excessive coughing fits.

As somebody already pointed out, I just hope they won't post anything OOG or movie related. It would ruin the suspension of disbelief for new viewers.

It's kind of sad that Joseph suggests they reflect on Marble Hornets and Troy is just like "uh... well what do you want to say?"

MarbleHornets Season Three Credits, what if there is an after credits scene

Nope, the credits always go on the THAC page. Plus if there's any after credits scene it'll be on the DVD, not the channel. I imagine the THAC youtube becoming very busy in the next few months, with thank you vids, TO movie promotion and maybe a teaser for the new project? They got their funding so.

My guess is it'll be something tying the end of MH to TO movie. Tim didn't necessarily die and according to the Posdcast they had this ending written for the last two years, during which time deal for TO movie was signed and sealed. They briefly visited the set in LA during production so it's not impossible Tim makes an appearance if the story takes places after the series chronologically. If it's a prequel (with possible origins of TO) then I guess we can hope to see The holy trinity at least make a cameo. Though, whenever the question is posed if they appear in the movie they narrowly dodge it and say it's entering spoiler territory. Since everyone is dead par Tim I'd say that was a safe bet.

I think they are relieved it is over.

Yeah, which highly suggests OOG content, to me. Now that Marble Hornets is over, do they really have any impetus to maintain "realism"? The only reason I could think of would be that it would be sadder seeing the channel sitting there, barren, & knowing that it's because the owner "died."

Yeah. Joseph at least kind of tries justifies the ending, & they even mention the ever-popular "did he turn into the left lane?" discussion--for reference, Troy says he doesn't exactly remember, but he thinks that Tim was between lanes in that take--but even then, "It wouldn't feel like Marble Hornets" is kind of weak reasoning. Don't you think something went wrong if you can't explain your plot while retaining your atmosphere?

Also, people disliking what they thought was The Operator's origin story--which I was not necessarily one of--does not mean that they will dislike any explanation. The Operator's Pseudorigin was admittedly a little hokey, but you know what, at least it would have given it a historical presence. I'd understand why it stalks this area, why it latched onto Tim, & why it wants to abduct people & promote violence. Even its lack of focus would kind of make sense.

Troy always seems like he just wants to kind of get away from Marble Hornets. He's not outright with it, but there's little implications here and there in the podcasts and other things. On his tumblr he mentioned he "doesn't usually post MH related stuff on here." Why? That kind of attitude is slightly annoying to me. I know he's probably sick of MH after all these years, but it always sucks how we never really get to hear him talk about the finer details of MH.

He's probably just afraid of being typecast. It's still early in his career, I don't think he disrespects it. MH got too big too quickly.

Who knows? It could be anything. Immersion, not being the type to talk about his work, et al.
