Come one, come all, and join in the fun that is our annual conference ARGFest-o-Con! Fun, games, and business! Parties, booze, and professionals sharing their tales!

This year we are changing things a little bit. We are kicking off Thursday with our new IDEA Symposium. The Interactive Design in Entertainment and Art Symposium conference sessions will bring a greater focus on the development of transmedia campaigns and integration with, or expansion of, existing story worlds using transmedia techniques. Gain insight from industry professionals to improve your design and production experience. Our Featured Speaker for our first IDEA Symposium is Mike Selinker, who spoke at last year's conference on "How to Design Every Puzzle Type Ever."

This will be followed on Thursday evening by our Kick-Off Cocktail Party! Time to schmooze with booze! Meet other players and rub elbows with professionals in the ARG and Transmedia genres. H'ors d'oeuvres are included and a cash bar will be available. This is the place to be if you are looking to meet people who can give you advice on how to break through the curtain from player to professional Puppet Master!

Friday morning and afternoon will consist of conference sessions that include a variety of fantastic speakers and presenters. Most sessions will include Q&A time, which will be kicked off with a personal twist by our 2014 Grand Inquisitor Lucas J.W. Johnson!

We cap off a day of amazing speakers and presenters on Friday with our Keynote Dinner. A nice sit down dinner that many guests choose to dress up for, followed by the Keynote address by a very special guest (to be announced soon, keep checking back).

This year, we have a very special addition to our Key-Note Dinner, and I for one am SUPER excited to be able to announce, we will be hosting a private concert by Portland's own The Doubleclicks!!! If you don't know who they are, check out their website.

As always, we will follow up the conference with FestQuest on Saturday. FestQuest is a puzzle based event that takes our Festers in teams on a tour of our host city.

So make sure to check out the ARGFest-o-Con website as we are announcing speakers and presentations frequently. Register for your passes, and Reserve your hotel rooms!!!

We hope to see EVERYONE there for what is shaping up to be a super exciting year!!!!

And that's all. I was on my way home from deployment in Iraq and missed 2009 in Portland by just one day - watched the live feed from the Baltimore airport. Unfortunately, haven't been able to attend since. Still have a good part of the ARG museum in my den. And lots of photo albums from many games are on my flickr: Catching the Wish, Monster Hunter Club, Sammeeeees, Last Call Poker/grande finale at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Vanishing Point, The Lost Ring.
