[META] Ask The PM's! Ok, this thread will be dedicated to asking questions of the Ilovebees PM's. They've agreed to answer questions offline, in a dedicated thread, since we didn't have time to get to all the questions in the PM chat.
So, post your questions here, and bee nice!

Thanks again, guys. I was at the Chicago meetup, you really know how to make a guy happy.
Question: ilovebeer. Was that in game, or was it just a good voice actor/web site designer?

I really thought this should have been asked earlier - can you give us the credits that we accidentally didn't get on the DVD (Aiden and Stupid Cop come to mind)?

I emailed already...but I think it would be nice to put it here as well, to get more points of view from the PMs.
First of all, congratulations in all things game- and baby-related to your team.
I had a couple of questions, and I guess this is a more 'civilized'
way to ask you about them. :)
Story
I was curious whether you have any strong feelings about how the story
continues 'postgame'. We know that everyone learns about the arrival
of the Covenant almost simultaneously. Nobody is really worried about
Jan <cough>, but some people wonder what is likely to happen to Kamal
and (especially) Jersey, considering Durga's actions at the finale...
Do you have any strong opinions on that, or was it deliberately left
open-ended where we fill in scenarios like Kamal's cabin having
*really good* home security, or Durga turning Jersey's building into
the Chamber of Death? Also, if you weren't planning to do puzzles,
how were you _originally_ planning to intro Rani's story? More calls
from Melissa? flea++ ha><0r contest (kamen > !init transmit proc >>
gibson)?
Sides:
I'd like to bring up the question of 'sides'. Some ARGs do this
deliberately. It seems clear now that you weren't really expecting it
to happen as sharply as it did halfway through ILB, and probably you
weren't expecting the degree of polarization from players that you
saw. I imagine part of it stemmed from the novelty of the live calls
for us at that point, and this was the point where you started to
diverge from 'plan'.
Now that you've lived through us trying to gnaw each other's kneecaps
off, what's your opinion on planning for 'sides' from the start for
future endeavors?
I appreciate in advance any of your responses.
PS: (And...uh...thank you, though it confuses me, for the compliments;
flattery will get you everywhere. My dolly is blushing. [|B,)

Playing nice.
So...what to ask...dayyyymmmm....
...some of this is going to remain in my geek-speak lexicon for years to come....
...okay. For those who are now taking up the idea of making ARG's, especially in the field of marketing - what recommendations do you have in terms of setup, preparation, and estimated cost?
I note that I myself am not in marketing, but may be looking for a job with a marketing research firm - as computer-related as it can get, I hope. I figure if they ask what I know about marketing, I can use this and the Beast as examples.

One last question:
Is Bungie planning to come out on their site and admit that ILB is Halo related on it?
Because there are sadly some people on bungie.net's forums that still don't believe it. I know, it's sad.

I'll answer this one before I ask my own question:
I Love Beer was made by the mods of this very boards, not by the PMs of I Love Bees, and was not in-game. The credits are here: http://www.ilovebeer.org/credits.html
As for my own question, it's for the writers:
Who, in-game, wrote the Widow's Journey? Presumably the Princess, but she was barely capable of speaking English at the time, learning from our e-mails, so she couldn't have written it.
Edit: I got my answer in chat, so disregard.

I've got a story question for the PMs...the artifact at Chawla Base...what exactly was it? The beekeepers here on the forums are of the consensus that it was a remote control for the Halos, but confimation of that would be cool.

Yasmine Another question:
So, were Kamal and Yasmine Muslim? Or were the Arabic names and the no-pork rule just a Coral thing?

Did we miss any puzzles or hidden pages?
As a corollary to that - were the typos in one of the chapters of Perdita's story on purpose, or no?

Outside of weephun giving you the SP, were there any other aspects that made made you go "WOW" when watching us and thus changing your original story plans?

At the SF training event, the PMs told us that we had definitely missed one important puzzle...but also that we should ask them again the next day. To me, that implied that it had something to do with the Apocalypso relay puzzle, which had not yet been solved. My SPEC is that the puzzle we missed was that it was Melissa -- and not the Flea, whom everyone suspected at that point -- who had concocted the two fake Herzog files, which lacked the background "heartbeat" that all of the other .wav files had. But I could be wrong. Excellent question!
Edit:
Forgot to include a question of my own: Hey, Jim! What did you name your son?

My bet is "yes". Not just the names and the no-pork, but also the no-alcohol. (Remember that Kamal was shocked that his father was drinking beer.)
-- Steve's glad to see sympathetic Muslim characters reappearing in the media again.
PS; oh, uh, question, yeah....
Other than children's literature, what literary influences went into writing I Love Bees?

hmm, read a post earlier where thebruce thought the original intent of the wav's may have been differently, so i would like to ask the question.... did you intend for the audio files to initially be grouped per scene or chapters in the order we finally received them?
