"Moving pictures" for ABC news

Sean wrote:
ABC world news tonight wants to do a story on the game. Problem: they need moving pictures cuz it's like TV. Any chance that if any of you have any you could start a thread with links to which we could point the producer?

They had called me on Friday looking for this also. I don't have any, but if you do, please post links here.

Somebody in Chicago got a long set of video with all of us doing roll call shoutouts. krystyn thinks it might be angelo. That's one thing we can use.

Anything else?

I didn't have it, but I knew where it was. You can thank Clayfoot for the video.

The Macon crew had a video from the first axon week as well as "elite training exercises"

They don't seem to be posted in the GA thread, so maybe PM ROBOgriff or Gkrone to make sure they know? I saved a copy of the week one video, but I don't want to offer up someone else work. (as if the Disney lawyers would let me)

How about CNN video from our sign escapade? I've got it on VHS, although I'm sure ABC can get it from CNN straight if they want to.

Plus it'd be cool if they actually talked to one of us Wise Men about it this time, instead of offhandedly mentioning it without regard to who was actually involved in the sign thing (i.e. Wired, the NY Post & Times, et cetera)

You know, if it would help get the ABC News to do the report, perhaps one last crew task might yield some video if Melissa asked us to do it...

What Sort of Video?

Well, I have video of when I was scouting an axon in Berkeley.

If they want it....mostly just looking around.

This was the MOST difficult axon to find in Berkeley. There are a pair of phones visible right at the start that ended up NOT being the ones. The phone was actually at the opposite end of the street in the Library. The address I linger on at the end is where the coordinate actually pointed to.

Yours if you want it.

Sing, sing a song...

Well, if I had been ambitious, I would have done what Clayfoot did, though with the 3 minutes at a time video I can do on my camera, there would have been a lot of stopping and starting.

As it is, what I have is a reenactment of the Sleeping Princess, The Adam, Ranger D, and Mazian singing "Row, Row, Row Your Boat."
The order I list the people is the order in which they sing the round.

WARNING: Repeated listenings of this will cause "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" to get stuck in your head, if you are anything like me, which you should hope against all hope you are not. Smile

So I guess since I'm in the video (sort of), I should say its ok for ABCnews to use. It's ok to use. That is, if you can stand my singing! Razz

Also Gamespot was taking some footage at the SF event; Prokaryotic-Cell & I were interviewed at one point. If anyone knows where that turns up, let me know.

...and, if anyone knows how I can get in touch with these people so I can get them the CNN video somehow, let me know. Razz

Justine Schiro from ABC news just got ahold of me and I sent her here to this thread. So if you still have any video, get it posted ASAP.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but there was, from Axon Day, a 10 MB video put up somewhere, a lot of people standing around with laptops and stuff, and finally the phone ringing.
