 		They maybe could have pulled something off with Sarah, personally though I was okay with Alex just saying she was dead at the end. Some people weren't on the grounds that Jessica lived. But I feel like Jessica's death was one of those things he just assumed from seeing Entry #76, sort of like we did. Whereas Sarah had to be from personal experience.

Of course 22 implies that he thought Jay, Tim, and Brian were dead too. So objectively his word isn't totally believable. I guess I just gave all of that a pass and believed Alex because she's such a minor character that even if she did survive, it kind of doesn't matter.

I was OK with it too. I actually think it heightens the tragedy of having such a minor character just disappear into the Oppyverse by not showing how she got there.

Entry #22's an odd thing, though, because that, what would you call it, "confession" (?), was obviously made under duress, and also because someone (and we are lead to believe it was The Operator but we really cannot ever be sure) was there and making Alex say what he said--whether it was some sort of mind control or Alex's life was being threatened. (And then there's the question of how whoever (this "whoever" is rhetorical only) ToTheArk was got the tape to hide in the Red Tower for Jay thereafter...

 		I don't think 22 is under duress, I just think he's lying about not knowing what remembering what happened to Seth. Frankly I think he shot him. I think he probably hid that tape because he figured if anyone investigated these missing people it would make him look innocent. Remember, it's right next to where he definitely burned all those tapes. I doubt that's coincidental.

Look at his face, though--it's ambiguous (which is one of the things that makes Entry #22 so brilliant), but it really looks to me, at least, as if Alex is being held hostage and made to say that. He looks like a captive in a video where he's being told at gunpoint to renounce America, or something else. Either that or held in some kind of trance. OR held in some kind of trance and saying what he said.

I wouldn't be surprised if Alex DID shoot Seth. Though what happened to incapacitate Seth is (and will always be) a mystery.

That mystery doesn't bother me, though. Really, beside Entry #76, the only thing about the series that bugs me is that if Alex had been given some sort of special access to TO's realm, you'd think he woulda seen Jessica's body at some point there. Yes, she turned out to be alive--but that's the thing. He woulda known, and then he never woulda said in Entry #86 that she was dead... it's a plot hole, though it doesn't really fit this discussion.
