Who is Gene?

Gene -- a.k.a. "Optical" -- was the Thin-Kinkle-wannabe whose posterior Jan royally kicked back in week #4.

In that case, I don't think Edward James Olmos would make a good 'Gene.' Gene needs to be someone younger, bigger and carrying the weight of desperation. I picture Gene as a guy who is literally at his wit's end. He's not going to rape that girl because he wants to; he's doing it to please Thin, and pleasing Thin means a steady job and money.
Thus, I'm thinking some guy like Adoni Maropis.

I was thinking Antonio Banderas for Aiden, dunno why, but he seems to fit the role quite well.

And Sarah-John would be Kirsten Dunst.

I really like tony little as aiden.
if you had asked me much earlier in the story, like week 3 or 4, i would have said no way, and it should be someone much rougher, much darker. but as the story goes on, we see aiden is a complete joke. his primary purpose is to push kamal into thinking of absurd things so he can move into being enlightened.

and in like, week 8(?) when he quotes: "mm, i love the steak here! you can really taste the soy!" ... that is *SO* tony little!

the only exception, of course, is that i really dont like that little guy, and i really dont think he could act his way out of a paper bag.

Argh, can't resist.

Kal Penn and John Cho for Kamal and Hiro. You know this is the correct choice. Especially Kal Penn. He sounds exactly like Kamal.

Cast

OK heres a couple of suggestions
James James - Bruce Willis
or - Viggo Mortenson
Gilly - Sigourney Weaver (Props to Daboking, shes perfect)
Standish - Jack Nicholson (like A Few Good Men)
or - Matthew MacConnaughey
Herzog - Micheal Keaton ( maybe, I know a little bit of a stretch, but he could do the Cranky Old man bit well)
or - Tom Hanks
Cop from PQI - George Clooney
Jan - Laura Prepon (that 70s show, have you seen her as a blonde? Hot!)
Jersey - Ben Foster
Sophie - Catherine Zeta Jones (she could be younger)

I know I have alot of people missing, but that was the best I could come up with quickly. I would like Ed Norton to play Kamal, but hes too old and not really the right nationality. Be he would do a hell of a job!

The only character I could clearly picture in my head was the stupid cop:

Michael Rooker
