User invision picked up a drop for us, and it was a black keycard which has an unknown use. We got some okay pictures of the thing, but if we were to use it, for example, as a kind of code key, to reveal certain letters on a punch card, or as a key for a lock somewhere, the pictures aren't good enough for us to make a replica from (a picture next to a quarter for comparison is not sufficient except for perhaps some kind of sanity check).

After months of trying to get a hold of invision via text message to have him send the card to someone physically so that we can get more precise measurements and attempt to replicate it, I'm finally giving up trying to get a hold of him. I got a couple of noncommittal replies in the late spring/early summer, but the last few months I've been ignored.

Barring any future surprises, I consider this item lost. Thanks, dude.

On another note, if you volunteer to be a drop agent, it's implied that you will ship the drop contents to us or give us sufficient information that the drop contents are useful to our effort. We reimburse drop agents for this cost, often including a bit extra to reward the effort. If you want to keep an item, we can ship it back to you after we've taken measurements and tried to use it for whatever purpose, just please don't volunteer to retrieve a drop if your intention is to disappear with pieces of the game we're playing.

Hey guys, I recently came across this and finally caught up reading the thread. I'm in IL right near Chicago and I travel a lot around the US so I'm down to grab drops and of course help anywhere else I can. I geocache a good deal so the wife and I are good at spotting and finding hidden stuff, trekking off path, messing with a GPS, etc. Heading to Salem Mass tomorrow so will probably read through the thread again on the trip a little bit and if I see something I'll let you know.
