a friend of mine noticed this too...we were wondering if it was just an oversight/accidental not switching profiles...until we started comparing posting times.

ETeiltu made their account and posted on Oct 26 at 5:40 pm.
Amber posted on and off that day, until 10:54 pm that night.
Then nothing else from her.
ETeiltu responded, in "AmberSpeak" 3x on the 27th, and then this morning with the one you are talking about, where he/she is asking about going to check things out....
Nothing from Amber at all. Which is definitely 'off' for her.

I'm not sure whether it'd be a good thing or a bad thing to send Amber/ETeiltu to the hotel at this point, but as much of an UberFan as she is, I don't know that we can stop her, ultimately.

ETA:
I'm wondering if Talbot's blocked her from his phone, since she got the new number from the forums, and she's trying to establish a new identity that he would communicate with?
Or, you know...maybe she's Sybil.....

Edit2: Amber's back on the fan club forum today. And talking about ETeiltu as a separate person.

Assuming that Talbot is already dead (and yes I'm going to keep going on that assumption) sending Amber/Eric may be the way to figure this out. Someone is leaving condolence roses in/on his car - I assumed it was Amber for a while but I guess not.

Also, I'm struggling to be nice to Amber on her forums. The whole "psycho/psychic" thing I wanted to say "Freudian slip" or "showing true colors" or something, but even IG I seem to be a stickler for forum ToS LOL

Meta moment - she must be of some relevance.... I can't imaging they would go to the trouble of making the fan club of it didn't actually play a part somehow. I mean, unless it was made as an emergency response to a momentary lack of UF, but then why create Amber?

I'm slowly limping towards the boarding platform to the train of "believing Talbot is dead", and seeing Janis Joplin definitely pushed me further in that direction.

Is the reason "you can never leave" Hotel California because it's where the members of the 27 Club go after death?

Another theory on Amber / ETeiltu...could "Eric" be Amber's husband and maybe he left his profile signed in and Amber unwittingly used it? Maybe he's trying to insert himself to keep tabs on her? It didn't sound like they have the most...trusting...or relationships.

I agree with the "Talbot is already dead" theory. Hotel LION is purgatory and it's our job to try to help him move on to "The City of Angels".

The posts that were Amber/ETieltu crossovers were deleted, including the player that posted "ehm, Amber??" when ETieltu posted a response answering as Amber....

Oversight/accident? Or Amber being a sneaky moderator? Very Happy

The reply (after Pixie's last post) was from ETieltu and said something like, "Isn't that what I said?" (referring to her question directed to Amber, "Do you mean psychic?")

Then Charlene posted in reply to ETieltu's comment, "Ehm, Amber??"

Those are both gone. Seems like there was another comment that was very "Amber-esque" but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was at the moment. I'm sure someone will be able to recall better than me...

Crvna, Missy WannabeGriffin has been doing a great job of archiving over at The Griffin Observatory and does have a screen shot of of Pixie's post with ETieltu's reply. Search for "Uberfan now ETeiltu on the fan forums?" there.

I'm not sure how much it matters in the scheme of things. ETieltu did offer to go to the site of the hotel. Is that something that should be encouraged? Or should one of us go there? Idk.

The cause of this confusion does make for a good post game chat question... if there is one. Smile
