Also, recalling "Next"--remember the bald guy at the top of the stairs. THAT REALLY WAS ALEX. If you search around Jeffrey Koval's blog, you'll notice that Alex has gotten a haircut because he joined the military. So yeah...that says a...thing...or another thing...somehow...TAKE THAT HAH

I don't mean to be rude, but I think most people actually know that already.

Like I said, there was some groundbreaking shit going on before everything ground to a halt for this crossover nonsense.

Yeah, like we got almost a definitive final morse video, everyone else had died and they had a dead end with a pulse. The wiki states that the series is at conclusion in terms of story development, so all that's left to do is have our underwater brawl and end it. They won't off Slendy because it'd be better to leave him open to the expanded verse to play with. Answers would be nice, but that'd really be hoping...

I don't know what you're talking about. This is really contradicted by Alex (& later Jeff) apparently coming back from the dead. I don't know where the Wiki came up with that & I don't know where the notion that the story will end with an underwater fight. I know something like this kept popping up in the Hidden Videos, but that doesn't really mean anything, & I'm generally in the camp that that's what we would have seen if Vince had investigated the pool when he went to look for Jeff at Evan's house, but fortunately, he was smarter than that.

I don't write the wiki man, but thats what it says. Because it's constantly been shown in videos and in the earlier days hidden videos depicted future events. They hardly went through all that effort to show us a possible future that would never happen.

It makes perfect sense that being warned of the future events would allow the boys to avoid them, & even if I ignore that, "There will be a fight underwater"=/="The series will end with an underwater fight."

Regardless of who writes the Wiki, I say they're reaching.

I didn't say it will end with an underwater fight, but it's the only event that has been portrayed that hasn't happened yet. Apart from that there isn't much else to show really.

There is a lot that the Morse Code Videos didn't tell us, like that Corenthal would appear or Alex would come back. I don't think they should be seen as a road map to the series.

Why are we taking into account what they didn't tell us? There's literally thousands of things they didn't tell us.

I don't understand what is not making sense to you. Why would you give someone a checklist to know when your story was over? Wouldn't it make more sense to use that to build hype for maybe 1/2 to 2/3, then develop the story beyond that point? Maybe so that people can't easily predict what you're going to do?

But...it's not a checklist, you're really not getting what I'm saying here. I'm saying that I'm expecting to see the underwater brawl soon because I don't think the series has much more to show us. And it has absolutely nothing to do with predictability. You can generate hype alone by giving hints that the end of the series is approaching (e.g. BEGIN FINAL CHAPTER) you're telling anyone what's going to happen, you're just letting them know that a storm is coming.

"Tell them only that Marble Hornets is dead...and that the Slender Man mythos...DIED WITH IT."

No but seriously, this lack of updates is making me sad inside.

It's going to happen isn't it, EverymanHYBRID's going to have had a whole year of videos in which Slenderman doesn't make an appearance.

With the stabbings, Bad Series Watch Night, and now the hiatus on every good series, I think it's safe to say the Slender Man Mythos is falling apart.

I feel the same way. The Slender Man mythos is running out of steam, and since Marble Hornets finished, and the other four "big" series are on hiatus, plus the over-saturation of bad, low-quality series, I think some people are getting tired of Slendy. Adam Rosner himself encouraged newcomers to not use Slendy and come up with their own monster.
