I wish it wasn't in such a confusing format---I have no idea how to use Reddit or I'd try to play along.

Okay, following the link from the second story it looks as if two players died (if that's what having their names crossed out means): Kelvin (but then who was phone?!) and Camilla. Interesting.

Okay, yeah, according to the images linked from their names, those two are definitely dead. I wonder if there's significance to the black streaks over their faces and the way their eyes are ringed....meant to resemble skulls, maybe?

with the words Hail Deyan. It looks like part of a gif---if the whole thing could be found I wonder if it might somehow yield a clue. Also what are those weird speckles in the sides of the image? Graphical artifact or tampering to hide something?

If you go back to the main page: http://www.reddit.com/r/whydidyoustoprunning you'll see there's a hell of a lot more there. That short story is relatively new, while some of the posts date multiple months back.

If you need more info on how reddit works, basically it's like a blog and you're probably automatically sorted by hot. If you click the little tab at the top you'll sort from newest-oldest. Reading the comments by the main guy, 118-19-57-9-W (I'll call him 118) you'll get a lot more backstory. Warning, some content is NSFW (A supposed "murder" body has someone's boob being cut into)

A lot of that stuff linked there seemed to be totally unrelated, though; it's confusing. I'm just gonna stick to the creepypastas and let more-experienced redditors deal with the backstory. So any progress on the clues so far?

Pausing the video at 11 seconds in, I spotted a symbol like an upside-down eye with three triangles connected below it. Deyan's symbol perhaps, whomever this Deyan is? There's also flashes of a locked gate, what looks to be close-ups of spiders, a pentagram and at 28 seconds some weird machine with what looks like 3 numbered sleeves extruding white things with writing on them---can anyone read it?

If you're on the main page and it is sorted by new, then some of it may be unrelated. Look for accounts that seem to have a high post count or match the theme. Anyone is allowed to post, so there are many posts asking what's going on. The back story is pretty necessary, and some of the more obscure comments by 118 give lots of info. Some info (I'm having troubles remembering it) was that two of the abducted members from the story (that didn't have their names crossed out) were actually the leaders of the cult. If you haven't noticed the whole gist of this is that there is a creepy cult murdering people.

Still too confusing; I can't even find anything by 118 on that page full of people asking what's going on. The first link has more stuff though; you're right, it looks like Amber and Chelsea were taken and Amber is dead. Chelsea apparently isn't though; a picture posted 2 hours ago shows her alive with that upside-down eye drawn on her forehead. Symbol of whatever Deyan is, perhaps?

Also there's comments suggesting Nicholas is at Whitechapel (England?) and that he's going to be inducted into this cult but they need to take him to someone called Brij first.

Ah okay, digging some more it sounds like Brij and Deyan are the same person. Any time that name gets mentioned there seems to be a clown picture posted so maybe, like that one guy who raped all the boys, this killer works as a clown. They appear to be based in L.A though so why are they taking Nicholas to England? Wait wait NVM there's a Whitechapel Place in Thousand Oaks Californa. I wonder if that has something to do with it. 118 is apparently called Will if they're not a liar.

A major problem I'm having is I don't have permission to view half the images that get posted. I keep getting 403 Forbidden errors. That gets old fast.

That whyaren'tyourunning thing is confusing too because based on the name you'd think they're related, but it was set up a year ago by someone else and seems to make no mention of any of the missing kids or dead people (of whom Amber of the sliced tit is apparently one).

Okay, so this killer abducts people and...leaves evidence in places with names that were significant to other serial-murder cases? Chops the bodies up, possibly, if that photo of Amber is anything to go by? Just don't get it.....
