[META] DM's Night Out

Well, I got back about an hour ago (AKA 2AM) from a Halo 2 launch party. It was a spectacular night, and any of those of you with an XBOX contemplating buying Halo 2, DO IT. Forget what people with pirated copies (which some people were discussing, by the way. The pirated copy was a late beta version, we BELIEVE) or some reviews have said, the multiplayer and singleplayer are AMAZING. Trust me, buy this game, and you will be playing it for many years to come.

So my night starts at 7-8PM, I forget. From then on to 10, it was a halo multiplayer tournament-I came 4th out of about 100 people. Nothing much to report there, of course.

Then, from 10-12 (Or, 10-2AM for me, since I was VIP) it was a Halo 2 session. They let us play campaign or multiplayer. I played campaign first, and without giving away any spoilers-It. Is. Fanstastic. The story from the word go has you glued to your seat. I had to pull myself from the campain at 12 for the VIP multiplayer Halo 2 tournament. Multiplayer is spectacular, too. It's hard to explain, but what Multiplayer lacks in the amazing story the campaign has, it makes up for in action. This doesn't mean I think the campaign lacks action-believe me, it's the complete opposite-but... well, I'll leave it at that.

Anyway, yeah. So now I'm home, decided to jump on and talk to people about my night, my Halo 2-Courtesy ONI|Gaberiel, thanks man!-is sitting on my XBOX in its case, waiting patiently for me to jump on and start the campaign again.

Anyway, yeah. Halo 2 = A+ on every level. OH! And...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There are some familiar voices on the campaign. Wink

WHO?! Please tell us who don't have x-boxes who the familiar voices are! Durga, Jan, Jersey, Rani, anyone?! Please!

Please excuse my insanity.

Right, I didn't get too far in the campaign, but some marines sound EXACTLY like Jersey. And no, none of them said 'Daaaaamn!', not YET anyway. And I did meet a Kamal-sounding guy, but it was hard to tell because ot the background sounds at the time.

*grins stupidly*

DM, you're totally welcome, bro. I just got to play some 4man slayer downstairs on the 50" with some friends, and it was utterly wicked. Multiplayer in this game effing ROCKS. Very Happy Very Happy
