 		Kanye Quest/Ascensionism Records
Okay, so this is going to be a bit long. Myself and a few friends have been looking at this pretty much privately for a few days and we've decided to go public with it.

PART 1: KANYE QUEST 3030

A few days ago, I received a frantic text message from my friend while I was in biology class. Apparently, he had stumbled upon a secret area that no one has discovered before in the popular RPG Maker game Kanye Quest 3030. In order to access it, you have to speak to a woman near the bottom of the map in the first major area of the game. She asks you, "What would you like to do?" and you are prompted by a 6 character field. The correct response is "ASCEND." After inputting this, your character is changed into a butterfly, given max stats, and transported to a dim looking room with a repeating tone playing. The room is designed in the shape of a pyramid and in order to progress towards the "top," passwords need to be entered into a number of terminals. It's surprising that no one found this earlier because of the ways it was hinted at:

-There is a broken terminal in the main game with the word "ascend" garbled on it. This is how my friend discovered the secret room.
-In the title music of the game, morse code spelling "ascend" can be heard at the very end of the track before it loops.
-On the Kanye Quest Youtube page in the About section, the link to the download page is displayed as morse code for "ascend."

When your character is transported to the room, they are presented with the following message:

Congratulations! You have proven yourself to be an
open-minded and curious thinker. We must apologise
for deceiving you, but we can reveal that the game
you were playing until this point was a 'front'

constructed to protect what you are currently
accessing. We must ask that you do not reveal this
area to the public. If you believe that you may be
prone to revealing information, or do not wish to

participate, please close this program immediately
by pressing ALT-F4 or selecting the NO option when
it appears. By selecting the YES option, you agree
to participate and not reveal information.

If you select YES:

The following is a thought exercise designed to help
teach you something beneficial. By undertaking this
exercise, you will hopefully be affected in a
positive way. Due to the nature of the exercise,

this "something" cannot be revealed immediately.
This exercise may or may not be restricted to this
software. It is important to remember that the
purpose of this exercise is to benefit you.

You will not be timed. We cannot provide any more
information, except that we wish you good luck!

You may begin now. Welcome to your ascension.

The background music in the new room is very interesting. It consists of a constant repeating tone and not much else. At the beginning of the track, a piano thing plays. Near the middle, there's reversed vocal samples in the mix, but they're hard to make out. Here's a link to the track: https://clyp.it/nvxpiaxc

In addition, there is a room able to be accessed through a south doorway. This room consists of only a QR code. After being put together in paint, the code directs to http://q4i.co/Fm. This page is inactive, and we're unsure it ever was.

PART 2: PASSWORDS AND EXISTING ARG LINKS

At this point, my friend and I decided to take this to a larger group of people. We were both members of the Jadusable ARG from a few years ago, so we decided to take it to our Skype group consisting of people also from that.

We had no idea how to deal with the passwords on the terminals, so my friend decided to datamine the game to just get the passwords and see what was up with this. A full list of passwords can be found in the pastebin that will be linked at the very end of this post, but by googling just the first set of passwords we discovered something not that surprising: links to an already existing (dead as a doornail) ARG here on Unfiction. The discovery of this link lead us to our current status, investigating Ascensionism Records, which will be discussed later in the post.

In addition, once the first set of passwords is entered, the doorway that formerly leads to the QR code room now leads to a room consisting of an image of an eye formed by spikes on the ground and a single terminal displaying the word "XXXIVYES." We're not sure what this is supposed to mean. 34 YES?

PART 3: PERSONAL INFORMATION

Upon entering all the passwords into the terminals and progressing to the "top" of the room, your character is transported to an all-white room. Two things happen here.

The first is the only possible enemy encounter in the secret world. It's a random encounter and the battle ends immediately after it starts. The enemy has no sprite. It is called JFZZJNMS. Once again, we have no idea what this is supposed to mean.

The second thing is the final terminal in the game. It displays the following message:

ascended. However, further ascension is always
possible. If you do not wish to ascend further, your
journey ends here, so please close this program by

pressing ALT-F4 or selecting the NO option above. By
selecting the YES option, you agree to participate
further and you grant us permission to interact with
your possessions. Would you like to participate?

Over the following two week time period, we will
interact with you and your possessions in several
ways. Keep an eye out, as some of these ways may be
subtle. Others may not be. We may attempt to contact

you directly. If we do this, we will attempt to
notify you of our prescence using a key-word. If
you still consent to participation, please select
the YES option above. Do you wish to participate?


Upon answering yes to the prompt, you are given a form of standard mailing address information to submit. However, looking into the game's code, nothing is done with this information. It is not sent anywhere, yet the game is scripted to wait a few seconds in order to pretend to send the info. We're not sure why this is.

PART 4: ASCENSIONISM RECORDS

We were extremely interested at this point. The apparent links to a new age cult (explained in the pastebin at the end of this post) were some of the most interesting parts, so we decided to try and form a line of contact with them. We emailed Ascensionism Records ( http://www.ascensionismrecords.com/ ), an independent record label affiliated with the cult, because they were the only people we could contact about this. The game's developer has never released contact information, and our messages to the official tumblr account have gone unheeded. However, what we received back surprised us. Our email was responded to with a link to a secret page on their website: http://www.ascensionismrecords.com/forte

This page consists of a number set: [ 0, 2, 4, 7, 9 ]

It also has a download link to a passworded .7zip file entitled That's Her Forte no.

Following this, we emailed them back, asking who Nick Lyons, the label's only artist, is. We received back the question "Who is Abbey Davies?"

Yesterday, the record label's Twitter page ( https://twitter.com/ascendtoday ) posted a bunch of their songs, along with their track number from the album they come from. This is a list of them in chronological order. All songs are by Nick Lyons and can be found on the label's Youtube page ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCth-LZ1VhERcvbWcj46b25A ).

It also might be interesting to note that apparently the label is based in Adelaide, Australia.

PART 5: CONCLUSION

But yeah, that's where we're at with everything. Our current objective is to open the 7zip, but we're not sure we have adequate information to do that or if we should be poking the record label for some more hints. Hopefully we can get some help with this and actually answer some questions.

I've been trying to keep up with all the threads, this thread right is pretty much all the relevent info as far as I know besides this lately

much of the 4chan shit got edit:archived improperly, there were a few deleted threads in the post. The archived version shouldnt be hard to find with google,

I've seen that code around but I'm not sure exactly what it is/does. I read through the archived thread a few days ago but maybe I overlooked something.

 		On the RAQ line using the 99990000 number and the ID's from the previous ascend thread i made it to a message appearing to be a dead end that repeated:

"hello (???) one(1) services are currently unavailable due to system maintenance. 12"

I wanted to know if this was really a dead end or if there was any more information i needed. so i emailed the admin of ascensionism records asking if i was missing any relevant information for either the 7z file or the RAQ line.

I received the following response:


"Rahn's chalky algorithm proglottically does deciduate Artigas; not hypnotic.
Affect towel drowner result.
Wicker system obviousness maintenance sweepstakes uningrained. Ongoing
Mennonitism presently (bookstore Coahuila)"


from what i found, the two algorithms for determining the prime forms of pitch class sets are forte and rahn. [0,2,4,7,9] is the display of a prime form in rahns. it's corresponding forte number is 5-35

5-35 unlocks the .7z file revealing three images.

 		in 254361.png there are 6 codes on the framed image to the left. The DM code in the middle on the right side reads "ABSURDUS" but i'm having a really hard time reading the other 5.

It has links to empirena.com which redirects to ionpowergroup.com, clintrmccowen.com, markaminc.com, and wallbuilders.org

empirena.com, markaminc.com, clintrmccowen.com and ascensionism.com all show whois registration email address as markSPLATmarkaminc.com. It seems like they tried to hide the whois info on some of the registrations, but left the email address intact.

ionpowergroup.com also has someone called Nathan David Lyons as an employee. The tracks on the ascensionismrecords.com are by someone called Nick Lyons.

I guess this could be nothing, but it seems a bit odd...

This happened to me too. (lurker here too, made an acct out of interest in Ascension/kanye quest) I asked what that meant, or how to figure it out, and I got "PM: figure what out?" and "Coy means beating around the bush" minutes later in another email. Nothing since.

I've never done anything like this before, so forgive the noobiness. You guys have such smarts and finesse, and I'm just ham-fistedly asking what the hell is going on. Thank you for being patient, haha.
