[TRAILHEAD] The Good Shepherd

Okay, so a few weeks ago I was reading about the crazy chemical spill in Akja, Hungary. If you don't know, it was an alumina spill that made everything look a bit terrifying. Google that shit, it's cool. And in the midst of reading, I caught a tumblr called The Good Shepherd that has a fictional alumina spill like that one, but in Colorado.
The first chapter was cool and I got some vibes off it, so I kept checking on it. I just read the second chapter, and my spidey senses were right on- this is definitely a thing. And not just any thing, but I'm pretty sure it's a Slenderman thing! And to make it more exciting- it appears to be an ARG. Slight spoiler for proof:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It mentions the main character making a Craigslist ad in the Denver area. I checked out of habit (EMH vet here), and yes, the ad does actually exist. http://denver.craigslist.org/laf/4889697891.html

What's more, it seems to offer each chapter as a download. So we'll see what comes of that?
Here's the link to the tumblr,

How long has it been? These weary bones clacking away, tired eyes that haven't looked upon these shades of brown and grey in ages. I recall EMH and playing in those seven trials, hell I recall back when it was just starting, before the Slenderman Mythos were their own board and MH was really all there was. And yet here I am again, all for want of a good shepherd.

So let's go over basics: we need to see the "strange tag" that is mentioned in the Craigslist post. Someone needs to reply to it, preferably someone of that area, or at least the same state (of which I, and lunaticfish above iirc, certainly aren't).

Next, the inclusion of downloadable copies is very conspicuous. The files are coming up corrupted but I'm on my phone, I'll investigate further tonight when I've time in front of my laptop.
Speaking of conspicuous, we've a narrative tied into something real. A third person narrator describing something we have this Craigslist physical evidence of, something anyone who's 'playing' should keep in mind.

EDIT/UPDATE: Alright, got the ebooks files. Things of note: the author is one Vin Leedes. The cover illustration seems innocuous, but I just noticed the letters. It's like this:
THE GOOD
S h E P h E r D with the lowercase representing gray letters and uppercase white. The D is blocked partially by the cover's trees (as is the P to a lesser extent and the S to so little an extent as being hardly noticeable). Otherwise it's five trees with eyes on them and blood at the bases. Maybe I'll upload the thing and link it later. Not like one can't download for themselves.
If there's any computer trickery and weird shit needed for this I'm not your person, as some series in the past have done some odd stuff so idk what to expect. (hey turn this audio into an image? Like I guess that's a normal ARG thing but not my field)
As for the contents...looks normal at a glance. I'll go through it maybe tomorrow or later tonight if I find time (/get bored and take a break from everything else I'm working on tonight), probably compare the ebook and the upload copies and see what's different if anything.
Either way I hope others join in on this, make it more fun, actually might get somewhere (if there's anywhere to get to)
