Wasn't there anyone taking video in the SF event? Also, is this package airing tonight, since Halo 2 comes out tomorrow?

In fact... I have (just looked) 1.49Gig of Video from San Francisco. But if I host that on my website it would take only 1 person downloading it all to eat up huge ammounts of my monthly xfer alotment. Anyone got an FTP or a lot of bandwidth they wanna share?

PMs? I've got a video of them/you being introduced (and prompt running away again) also... and the # of hits to the site etc by the Bungie rep.

Yeah I was but my file if 109mb (the one I would suggest) it's lit well enough because I was using the Night Vision on it... it's Kristen meeting Weephun! But it's too big. I need a place to host it.

Looks like you're too late? Here in Arizona, the national broadcast has the Halo report at the end of the show. Awaiting it excitedly Smile meh

Er, so, have the bees missed the boat? Is this for a future package (maybe tomorrow night, with lots of nice shots of crazy people getting their copies at midnight) or did they just decide not to use all this?

P.S. Do I ask too many questions? Wink

I don't know man...I just watched it (I recorded it cause I was in class) and it doesn't look like they'll do anything more than this IMO.

It is my belief that the media isn't so nice to video games and it's fanbase...

I got it on VHS, but I don't have a TV tuner card or video in on my card to get the recording over. Besides, they didn't mention anything on ILB. I'll put spoiler tags around it just in case.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It was about how video games gross more than big budget movies (they compared the release of San Andreas and Halo 2 to The Incredibles)

Nope, nothing from us on it. The reporter said she would call yesterday but didn't. She also said that they would be getting a film crew out sometime in the future for another report, we'll see how that goes, but I'm not sure I'm going to get my hopes up.

This story's got a pretty short expiration date - it'll all be old news by next Tuesday, when Half-Life 2 comes out. I'm pretty pumped for that... got it Steam pre-loaded and purchased already... PC Gamer called it "arguably the greatest game of all time" and gave it the magazine's highest rating ever (98%). Of course, they gave Far Cry a 97%, so I'm taking it with a few salt shakers.

Seriously, though, they should do another report focusing on the fans and ILB, considering they've probably got hell of footage at the midnight release parties et cetera. I know a lot of people here at ASU were coordinating a "Halo 2 Sick Day"; the majority of participants weren't even "gamer" types. I think it's really cool that Halo 2 has broken down so many boundaries between "video game nerds" and the rest of the general public, by generally being nothing more than an awesome game to play with your friends. Smile Almost as awesome as the community brought together by ILB!
