already got some ideas swirling round the head using one super wierd audio clip I always loved as a sort of "cricket chorus" stunt. It will also be a release for my next haunted house CD which the name is alrteady bee happy: "Journey Beyond The Enhottentate". Its a sequel to my 3 year odl CD called Dark Matter which allmusic.com lists as jazz!@@%^&%

I have no skillz of my own, but have seen some

At the risk of increasing the sound to noise ratio here, Overclocked Remix might be worth checking out. Essentially it's a site of remixed game music, most of high caliber, including 3 Halo mixes. They also have some tutorials & links to tools, etc.

I'm not certain what the guidelines for an ARG submission would be, but it might be worth checking out (someone's got break the ground, w/ all the talent I've seen in this community, it might as well be us!).

Thanks for the link Pikalek, I dunno if they would be willing to take ILB as a game submission, but the tutorials there are another good resource.

How are we coming on this, everyone? Smile I know we've got our plates full with Thursday approaching and everything.

50 million ideas in my head, but just my guitars and drum machine at my disposal at the moment. Will try some experimenting this evening... I have leaned the Steve Vai suff and will probably remake the intro my own way and veer from there into something else (sure wish I had a keyboard to layer this thing some more Smile)
my biggest hinerance is time (3 jobs and a 4 year old daughter to boot which all get priority)

If you are big on Steve Vai, check into his odler work with Frank Zappa. Them or Us is a good album to check into for his guitar work.

Finally finished with my little bit of Bee wierdness. Its all a live ditty because you cant use Reaktor on a 333 mhz! Did use cool edit for the main speech tracks and the rest are played out live using an ESQ-1 and a Nano Piano...

not much of a vai fan personally... I think he is an extremely talented guitarist, so no detraction, but my cup of tea is more eric johnson or steve morse, john petrucci are some of my favs.

Alright, ladies and gents, time is quickly wrapping up on our great game, and so time is wrapping up on our competition.

I've recieved some submissions, and I'm gladly awaiting more. If you are finishing up your tune, great, send it on its way, or at least get in touch if you arent sure how to turn it in.

If you are still working on your entry, no sweat, but maybe you could email or pm me and let me know you still intend to turn in a song by the 9th of November. If it looks like everything has come in, and noone has mentioned they are still working, I may start putting submissions up for review, just to keep things interesting and moving along.

Myself, I still have a lot of work to do on mine, so I'm not putting the squeeze on anyone, but at the least, I'd like to just bump this up and remind everyone of the compo, and ask for a head count of those still planning on submitting.

Thanks!

Absolutely. Any that aren't already hosted somewhere will be put on my personal server, and I will link everybody to each of the submissions for review.
