Perhaps the 44 series will involve a Chuck E. Cheese employee. That's totally scary no matter what. Noooo question.

I don't know. Its just that articles like "MARBLE HORNETS MOVING TO BIG SCREEN" made it seem like it would be up to par with the rest of the big films of the year. I actually expected trailers and previews. Now, its just being released in about 2 weeks and we still hardly know shit about it.
Why is there no trailer anyway...(and i dont mean that shitty thing moran whipped up in like 7 seconds that the only person who liked it was his wife lol)

Chances are because like most other horror movies these days you'd see everything The Operator has to offer in the minute that you'd see in the trailer.

I just don't get why they are relasing it in under a month but we have still yet to get an official poster or actual trailer. I don't even think they have released the full casting or synopsis yet. Now, I've seen a ton of crappy indie horror films, but I've never seen something with as bad of a promotion as this. These guys are professional film makers making a film with fairly big names attached to it. But yet, the way the director informs us of the VOD release date is with a twitter link to a fan made tumblr post reporting from a twitch stream. I could do better, and I'm a 16 year old high school student with absolutely no experience in the film industry. Nothing about this makes sense.

Not to mention the fact that the goddamn director on twitter feels the need to ask his followers to help spread the word
That just makes it seem like nobody wanted to touch the film and market it.

They know by now that they fucked up and took way too long to release it by now. Only hardcore MH Fans that have been following Moran and the MH Movie are going to see this now.
Such a shame.

They'd be lucky if they even got that, just by looking at this thread I can't imagine many hardcore fans wanting to waste their time watching this. Moran's twitter is not even laughable anymore. It's been the only source of promotion for the film with only 384 followers and a frustrating placeholder tweet every 2-4 weeks. The only thing that's sort of funny now is the fact that we were once all excited for this film.

I believe at some point I may have paid money to watch or support Hylo. So there's no way this can be worse than that.

Why are we convinced this will be bad? The marketing was fucking atrocious, but why are we jumping to cynical conclusions about the film itself?

According to James's facebook, the title of the film is now 'Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story'. They should've just stuck with 'The Operator'.

On one hand, that new title is way worse. On the other hand, at least more people will know it's MH related.
