So there is a simple hide and seek type game where you watch a short YouTube video and try to find the DIG symbol and click it to go to the next video/level, so far not seeing any new lore or tie to DIG decoded, but it does show there are other... "puzzles" out there

Puzzle Hardness

I've seen a few others who think the hard puzzle of the week isn't that hard and have trouble with the easy or medium puzzle. This last week was the same for me.

I had the most difficulty with the medium puzzle. In the end, it does work out correctly. They could have made it really hard by not giving the book and using a 6x6 square of dreidels.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I thought you needed to add up the red "north" dreidels using the symbols as 1,2,3 , then the orange and brown in the same or different directions but that is the wrong path.
To get the answer, you need to count "identical" copies. (which is more than just color and direction as the text indicates)

If you have problems, Zephaniah is such a short book you can read all three chapters and probably reverse engineer it by guessing. Obvious answers won't work like up, down, turned, north ... Think weirder like "perpetual" but still fits the question of the "dreidel's direction."

FYI, there is a slight error IMO for the hard puzzle (#12):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It should be symmetrical with four additional "blackout" squares in a kind of clover leaf pattern.

For the error in the Hard puzzle (12):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I originally thought that, but re-reading the flavortext, it says that "study her craft from a couple angles" hinting that you also need to rotate the craft.

Puzzle #11

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The dreidels don't have to be an exact match, they just have to be pointing in the same general direction.

Solution:

treacherous

Read the clue text again and take it quite literally.

Puzzle #10

My trouble is I kept trying to start where the symbol would seem to start. Duh! it's easier than that.

Solution:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
irreversible

Yeah. This week's puzzles were really easy too. It almost felt like the puzzle creator was too lazy to be really creative.

What is the solution to this puzzle? I tried everything I could think of and still get an incorrect answer.

Puzzle #12

You have to black out almost everything. The parts Emma cut out, that's where the letters are.

You have to rotate the ring to see each part of the message. This week's puzzles are crazy easy. I'm kind of disappointed.

Thanks. That helped. The answers to puzzles 13, 14 and 15 were easy to find.
