Oh Lord, that title makes no fucking sense! Always Watching is OK, but "A Marble Hornets Story"??? It's like it's a set of children's books--"The Operator in the Woods: A Hardy Boys Mystery"
Fuck's sake.

And here's the kicker: anybody who will see this movie and isn't an existing fan of MH will likely it write off as being shit as well seeing as these two are now tethered by name and not just villain and universe.
Who knows though, it might actually be decent, I usually try to go in open minded to a film but there's a lot of evidence to say this will flop commercially and internally with the fans.

The worst part is that this doesn't even show any signs of tying into the IG Marble Hornets project at all. It's connected by the eldritch abomination, not the experience. Evil or Very Mad

Just confirmed with James via facebook - the movie will be on iTunes the same day as VOD, April 7th.

I now have the lowest possible expectations for the film, which is kind of ideal because now I can go in and it will probably be better than what I am expecting.

Also, the new title just makes me facedesk. "Always Watching" and "youshouldn'thavelooked" and "hes coming" are just too corny. Imagine if thats all totheark consisted of lol.

I really hope this movie doesn't give me cancer, I really don't want cancer.

According to James's facebook, the title of the film is now 'Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story'. They should've just stuck with 'The Operator'. Rolling Eyes

On one hand, that new title is way worse. On the other hand, at least more people will know it's MH related.

Which is why they changed the title...so more people would even notice the movie exists anymore.

Doesn't VoD count any service like TWC's Video on Demand system, iTunes, Netflix etc...?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Unrelated. I giggled when I saw that my only Mutual friends with Moran on Facebook are Joseph and Tim. Troy's nowhere listed.

What to say...?

"Bring on the new series?"

Actually, being a Twin Peaks fan, I sort of had a flashback to when Fire Walk With Me came out--and that's actually a good film...

some shots remind me of the entries, other feel very like the shooting style MH had. Not the FF style, but the actual framing, nothing is TOO obvious or conveniently placed

Agreed--some of it looks wicked good (especially what looks like throwbacks to entries #10 and #14, which are two that I like). Then there's the title near the end...

I'm just glad the thing's gonna finally screen, you know?

They kind of went overboard with the symbols, but most of it looked true to the series. Also, Victor Surge was listed as one of the producers. Did we already know he was involved?
