The Blink Network

So an ARG for David Wong's most upcoming book has started recently. The home site can be found here: http://theblink.network/

The ARG hasn't officially started, but we've had a few warm up puzzles sent our way and have been interacting with a couple of the Characters. The only issue is we mostly just like hanging out together and are fans of David Wong's writing. So we're stuck and we're hoping to recruit some veterans. I mean, we've been through this once before for David Wong's last book but the puppetmaster was basically holding our hands through the entire thing. Information for the puzzle we're working on now can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ibt0hGI7kGJ6dnsByNiK19NBu1DnnETjC_MziDACPZ0/edit

We're trying to decode the strings that look like Hexadecimal, but apparently might not be. So if you think you can help out, and wish to join a great community of ARGonauts, it'd be greatly appreciated.

We also really like butts. I hope that helps.

As much as I dislike using google docs, your request intrigued me. It was difficult to parse thru all of the working theories and failed experiments in that doc. Next time, just post the puzzle here and let people have their own stab at it.

If I isolated this correctly, you were looking for the solution to this?

A dream I have quite often, which I find relaxing is one where

My solution involves some steps which you will enjoy doing for yourself:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's a simple number base conversion. Go to
http://www.unitconversion.org/unit_converter/numbers.html
On the left side, select HEXadecimal and paste a "word" (not a full sentence),
then on the right side scroll down and select base-36.
You should see a "number" made up of letters.

Thank you! You're basically our hero. I think we were basically way overcomplicating this. You should join us. We're good people, I'd like to think.

If anyone wants to check out the progress IRC has made, but isn't sure how to catch up, we have a link summary over here on GoogleDocs which takes you to step-by-steps of how we've solved every puzzle so far.

Right now we've come into contact with a mystery person who has some kind of grudge against Makayla Waller (who runs The Blink Network) and is warning us against cooperating with Blink like we have been all this time. You can find everything we have on them here - we're currently stuck on figuring out what to do with the weird mp3 at the top of page 4.

Come join us in IRC if you have any thoughts to share, or if you just want to hang out!
