It does feel like that all right...maybe we should try every known page on the site with the volume at max on speakers?

Okay, I know this is a 44 thread but I'm going to post some TTA stuff. As I said, I think it is somewhat reasonable to at least try to look for a connection between the new hints from 44 and the TTA videos, here is what I've got so far:

Totheark and water:

- Operator has the word "Lakes" in it. (https://youtu.be/WVtGwViUILk)
- Deluge has a watery title (https://youtu.be/Dm3CjL6vS18)
- Impurity has footage and sound of a thunderstorm (https://youtu.be/zxPDaFeUzT0)
- Program has footage with rain (https://youtu.be/46GwQd-X38g)
- Messages has footage of old battleships in water (https://youtu.be/-VK-JaLhFIM)
- Broadcast seems to be shot from under water and has as video description "are you drowning" (https://youtu.be/_myhIXgVF-o)
- Display features a scene from a lake or aquarium, as well as a small puddle in the rosswood tunnel (https://youtu.be/_JGKBVCHcxI)
- Null has footage of a lake (https://youtu.be/Uk735Xvu-ZU)

TTA Codes and Ciphers

- Regards: Numbers of slashes corresponds to letters - just as the number of brackets on /therearefootsteps cor
responds to the number 44.
- Operator: The capital letters spell "LISTEN" – just as in the last mail from Dscott
- Deluge: Nothing special, but it remined me that early totheark really likes his / and \. Are the { similar to that?
- Forecast: Has some numbers that, divided by 2, spell out "amiaprophet".
- Intermission: Has some numbers that can be creatively arranged to spell out "always there".
- Classified: Has numbers that spell out backwards "The twins do you know what he did".
- Decay: Has numbers that spell out "no choice".
- Reference: Has some numbers that can be creatively arranged to spell out "SL HE DA HI NT IE RK SI" that in turn can be rearranged to spell "HI SL IE SI NT HE DA RK": "his lies in the dark"
- Display: The end shows a bunch of zeros and the letters to spell "WATCH DEATH".
- Surveillance: Has numbers that are encrypted with the infamous "twitter cipher". They spell out "truly your fault" and "shes out there"
- Decline: Twitter Cipher again, this time "He will pay."
- Conversion: Has numbers that after multiplying can be broken down into
"nevercured
never
never
trust"
- Quadrant and Null have some code, but the wiki does not list any solutions, and I don't remember what was discussed in those threads, and since it is very late here, I won't dig through the threads to search for it. Quadrant was solved if I remember correctly, but I don't know how and into what.

So, after seeing all those codes again, the "WHEN LEFT" doesn't seem so unlikely to me as before. But I'll still fumble around with some of those codes tomorrow.

For the listen part, the spectrograph (Yay, I found out how to view these) from the "Behind the scenes" trailer did not reveal anything. However, the normal waveform graph looks suspicious to me. Somebody with more knowledge has to look into that.

I know it's probably not so helpful to repeat this observation when I don't have anything else to replace it with, but I'm not sure why people are proceeding as if significance of the 12-digit gif title has been determined. It's being treated as if it is a simple substitution cipher that gives the eight letters spelling "WHEN LEFT" or "LEFT WHEN."

N (14)
L (12)
W (23)
T (20)
H ( 8 )
F (6)
E (5)

The problem with that if it were a simple substitution cipher, with numbers corresponding to letters, then there should either be some zeroes preceding the 8, the 6, and both 5's. Because to get the accepted solution you have to make a change two-thirds of the way through from treating pairs to treating single digits. But the letters are jumbled, so it's completely arbitrary. If there were zeroes before the 8, the 6, and the two 5's, I would say it was far more likely a solution (don't get me wrong--it's still a lead until it's confirmed to be incorrect).

What if the "LEFT WHEN/WHEN LEFT" is an intentional false solution to throw us off (because this kind of simple substitution involving an arbitrary shift to get a satisfactory result is not that uncommon with such codes)? What if the numbers do stand for letters but we're supposed to do something else with them--say subtract 44 from each pair and move leftward, back through the alphabet (the direction those squiggle brackets are pointing) to get the "real" letter?

Only problem with THIS is that 14-44 is 30, and there's no 30th letter, but you get my point--that maybe there's something else we're to do with the numbers to get letters--but what that may be, I just don't know. I tried taking them in threes, adding the numbers, and finding the corresponding letters. I got 5 (1+4+1), 7 (2+2+3), 10 (2+0+8 ), and 16 (6+5+5). That gave me E, G, J, P. Which spell nothing. Then I tried moving 44 places to the left through the alphabet, giving me U, W, Z, F. Which spell nothing either. So, I don't know what to do more. But I also am not convinced that "LEFTWHEN" is the correct solution. It's creating the semblance logic on what are basically haiku fragments we're getting from this dscott3872 or whoever's intercepting and interrupting his email. And it also disregards the 44 { brackets, which are framing that gif so much that the number and the direction have to mean something.

EDIT: Breaking the gif title into three groups of four I got 8 (1+4+1+2), 7 (2+3+2+0), and 24 (8+6+5+5). These correspond to the letters H, G, and X. Nothing. But moving 44 alphabet places to the right of each I got O, R, and F, which can be arranged to spell the preposition "for." But, again, what would this mean? "Listen FOR"? "There are footsteps FOR"? Maybe the latter is the totheark entity's name in 44? So we should "listen FOR therearefootsteps"? That's assuming, of course, that the significance of the 12-digit gif title is a code meant to correspond to a word or phrase or clause that is meant to connect the fragments from the dscott3872 emails. But there's no reason to assume such. So we're left where we were, what, four weeks ago when this popped up again?

EDITEDIT: I moved another 44 places leftward for each digit and got WZN. Now if 44 does turn out to be a TV station and this is the station name, well, that would be awesome, even though it still wouldn't explain the gif.

Thanks much for all of that, because it's quite useful.

Quadrant was solved in two parts. The YouTube description, I believe (off the top of my head here), had a code leading to a YouTube video about typing (Troy confirmed this was right and also told Unfiction to "play nice" because the stupid bickering was getting even stupider and more stupidly ad hominem than normal on this forum). Then this and the name of the video lead to someone treating the code flashing at the end (like the blue screen of a VCR, by the way, so there's another possible connection with 44) with four rows of characters as a keyboard cipher. Breaking the keyboard into four quadrants, the solution was "I CAN NOT HELP."

Sidenote: I have to ask, isn't this an odd message for Brian/Hoody to post if he's totheark alone without SOME helper in the form of someone or something who was providing information, etc.? It seems clear that he would have known by now that Jay had been taken, although Entry #80 had not been posted yet. I don't know--something about it's always bothered me. (I was wondering also how Entry #79 was posted if Jay left his laptop in his car but spent the night watching Benedict Hall for Alex or for Tim to come out or show up?) But that's for another discussion, I guess.

Does "Conversion" offer anything else? The tune in the 44 promo is the same, I believe, as in "Conversion." This video also briefly showed footage from the Entry #76 tape before Jay revealed it to us. Could there be something there as well?

If we do want to go back to the numbers, I suggest we look at the brackets in different ascii codes.

{ could mean 123 in decimal, 173 in octal, 7B in hex. Since there are 44 {'s (well 88 ), you could multiply 123 or 173 by 44 or 88. Not sure what you would wanna do with the hex value. You could get different numbers.

123*44=5412
123*88=10,824
173*44=7,612
173*88=15,224

Now, this alone is definitely not going to get us any message because 44 and {'s aren't really arbitrary. Its not like multiplying the respective numbers for { by the name of the new series just happens to give us a secret message, so we then could do something with the 141223208655 in combination with what we get above. I am not sure what though. If anyone has ideas with this, go nuts.

Guys, I just wondering about something. Does anyone has ever try to "listen" to MH Season 3 Credits? You guys topics always centering The Teaser video, but what about The credits video?

Hey guys, I was just thinking. Has anyone tried that code from Surveillance to decipher the code on the marblehornets website? I don't know how it was done, otherwise I would try myself.

I don't know if it's really gotten that much attention. There's something that flashes at the very end and has some kind of code. There's also what sounds like distorted speech. I wish I had the skills to actually look into what may be there.

I'm not sure either what to do. I wonder if the number for the file name isn't really meaningless even though the two rows of 44 brackets aren't. They seem to be framing the gif.

I don't think anyone has, no. It may be worth checking into.

Nah, the number doesn't fit. While I have NO IDEA whatsoever how they deciphered that thing, I know how it works. You can only use the cipher on the following number combinations:
"13 24 35 46 57 68 79 83 95 03 15 27 39"

So, unless you can shuffle our 141223208655 into the above pairs, you can't use the Surveillance/Twitter cipher.

The thing that convinced me that "when left/left when" could be the correct solution is that it can connect the phrases "there are footsteps" and "the water is deep" [there are footsteps left when the water is deep]

But the other words/phrases, "listen" and "are you awake", will be unused.

Well, "left when" connects any two sentences when the first one ends with a noun and the second one is a main clause, it doesn't even have to make sense: "Yesterdays spoon left when the sun danced naked."

Other than that, even granted that 141223208655 actually decodes into whenleft/leftwhen, we still have no idea what the whole /therearefootsteps page is about. Why is it on that site? Why the brackets? Why the .gif? Why does the encrypted title of the .gif connects the two sentences? What does it mean? Given that we have so little information to put those fragments into any context, either we just have to stay put and wait for more, or we are still missing some things big time.

5/22?

The only thing I can think--unless there's another site update in the next day or two (we're about due)--is that we'll have to wait till 5/22 to see if that's really so significant. That, the weird correspondence purporting to be from dscott3872, and the knowledge that the J.Bautista videos were a lovely diversion are really what we have. And the brackets--the brackets...
