I'm still in conversation with the admin over email.
Still too concerned to post my findings. Want to take this as far as I can.

I will say I've found out part of AB DV. it's a woman (my wife apparently) and DV stands for Davies. She kept her maiden name.

I think It's time I post what I've been discussing with the Admin email. I'm still keeping it going but this is what I have so far

Me: You have reached RAQ please enter your alphanumeric ID

Admin: That's a good one, Sir. I'm glad to be rid of that damnable thing. '05452',every day. Oh, it was ridiculous, but I guess that's what they wanted.

Me: Glad to be appreciated. It was annoying wasn't it? Answer me this. What happened to A1-QPLR?

Admin: Last I recall he went searching for something. Am I thinking of the right person?

Me: I think you are. Searching for something yes. Quite possibly the APL0 but remind me, who are they?

Admin: Well technically speaking, they include the two of us now, Sir. I'd consider the term something of an upgrade from our previous positions, despite what some may say.

Me: I had a conversation with the phenix last night. I asked of him a single question and was directed to you so I ask, who is AB DV?

Admin: Your wife, you mean? Are you testing me, Sir? I am aware she kept her maiden name.

Me: Isn't all of this a test admin? I was never good with names, what was her maiden name. She refuses to tell me, mad that I've forgotten.

Admin: 'Davies', I believe.

Me: Ah yes that's it. Thanks that saves me a headache, You know how she gets. Actually I haven't seen her lately have you?

Admin: Oh, she's just upstairs, Sir, looking after the baby.

Me: Oh well that's a relief. Where are you I'd love to come see her and the baby. I miss them so.

That's all I've got...very interesting. I'll keep you all posted.

If AB DV is a name, I'm guessing it is Abbey Davies, who was previously mentioned in the Kanye Quest thread.

Following this, we emailed them back, asking who Nick Lyons, the label's only artist, is. We received back the question "Who is Abbey Davies?"

Number Stream

I'm in agreement with the corrected stream of numbers and will take a look at it to see what I can find.

New music up on Facebook page

Hey guys - there's new music up on the Facebook page. It's called "Chernobyl Packet." I'm not hearing anything much in the audio itself, but it looks like there's stuff hidden in the spectrographs. I'm attaching them here. Track 4 especially looks like it has text hidden in it.

Also I think there's something with the album art - there's a checkerboard pattern that's showing up if you mess with the color levels. Unfortunately, I don't have fancy image editing software so I can't figure it out.

Thanks for checking my transcriptions, also, guys!

I went to look back at this and corrected some typos:

ONME
C=26

Though I've had no luck trying to decrypt it.

I had a couple of shots in the dark I thought of while looking at the last two posts. The Chernobyl Disaster basically happened because the fuel rods were inserted too deep into the chamber. If you look at the 4th image it almost looks like fuel rods sticking up out of the block, maybe they need to be "pushed down" to help reveal the message.

The second is related to the "Well I look like Nina Foch in my head." might actually need to be used as the encryption key or part of the cypher in someway.

Anyone know what's up with the text here? I don't know what language that is. Anyone know?

EDIT: Took to reddit to get it translated. It means Tank. Probably refering to the sensory deprivation tanks.

Pronounced:Ta-n-ku, Like you said means Tank. I would have to assume "he should be out around noon" means he should be getting out of the tank around noon (kinda obvious). It has a question mark at the end so it literally translates to "Tank?", its not a full sentence...not sure if that's relevant.

Why does the person (the operator) answering the phone look like Nina Foch? Is the person who is answering the phone Abby Davies? Is the phone call happening in the tank or is it happening outside the tank?

There is a cypher you can see at the bottom but I'm not great at decoding in general.

So has anyone came up with a key for the to break the cryptos that have been used? Is there 1 or multiple?
I was looking back at the original post(which was planted) and he provided a track count in chronological order
Quote:
Yesterday, the record label's Twitter page ( https://twitter.com/ascendtoday ) posted a bunch of their songs, along with their track number from the album they come from. This is a list of them in chronological order. All songs are by Nick Lyons and can be found on the label's Youtube page ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCth-LZ1VhERcvbWcj46b25A ).

7: Hypoventilation
3: Draconian Akrasia
9: Seeking Sanctuary
1: Gaslighting
6: Língchí (to Haritsuke)
5: Jungle concrète
2: The Shape of Noise to Come
4: Pyrrho
2: Sonata No. 1, for violin and piano - II. Theme and Variations
3: Sonata No. 1, for violin and piano - III. Fugue on an Ordered Series
1: Sonata No. 1, for violin and piano - I. Sonata
8: Zenith

Well I just looked at the numbers in order
739165242318--deciphers to
GCAFEBDBCAH-Which then turns into the word
Fingerprint

I still think that original post is full of clues, and when i get time will dig further into, i think it is very important that we use the abundance of clues and information already present in this thread and the present and at the minimum come up with a key or code which cracks the abundance of info we already have. Otherwise we're just chasing our tails...just my 2 cent.

How did you get fingerprint from that?

That's my biggest problem here. I see earlier in the topic also people mentioning solutions, but not how they processed them. Like earlier I saw people saying they used number strings to get SSTV images? I tried to look up SSTV stuff and see if our number strings were an image or something but have no idea how that is processed. I've been Googling all over for cipher decryption type stuff for the other bits we newly have, but none of it seems to be fitting into any of the solvers I've found. I can't even get GCAFEBDBCAH to convert into 'fingerprint'.

I know I'm fairly new to stuff like this (ARGs), but a lot of these solutions are coming out of seemingly thin air and it makes it hard to learn, understand, and follow. I understand wanting to leave things perhaps vague so others can try to solve on their own too, but it can also really slow things down like here where a new team is trying to pick up where another left off.

I definitely agree with this. Although I'm kind of dropping out of the competition here, I'd like to investigate some on my own and learn how to participate in future ARGs. I think this is so much fun, but it sucks when I feel like I can't really get anywhere because I'm a beginner. Anyway, you're not alone in feeling this way! Razz

Honestly i feel the exact same way. I've been just googling until my head hurts, and attempting to find my own solutions. Unfortunately I am new at this also so I am just doing most of this by hand.
As for turning
739165242318
to
GCAFEBDBCAH---i just counted the numbers of the letters.
to
Fingerprint -- i used a utility i found on the internet. Link http://quipqiup.com/index.php (Don't autodetect, use crypto mode)
and honestly i could be grasping for straws--maybe that's not even a real clue. But since i couldn't find any other helpful information i was...well grasping...
I just found that that wording was strange saying Chronological order, and random track numbers out of order. I figured that was too big a coincidence to not be a clue. Thoughts?

P.S if anyone can reverse engineer that cipher that would be awesome. I will be trying once i get time.

739 165 242 318 doesn't have the same length as GCA FEB DBC AH. It should map to GCAFEIBDBCAH.... which, running it through the cryptogram solver at quipquip gives "Incompetency" as the likely answer. (HAH.)

That would be a cipher that maps:

I --> 7
N --> 3
C --> 9
O --> 1
M --> 6
P --> 5
E --> 2
T --> 4
Y --> 8

(We can't know anything else about this cipher with any certainty. If someone gave us a word with a Z in it we wouldn't know how to encode it.)

We've gotten two substitution cipher keys like this (simple monoalphabetic ones, I mean - look at the phone cord in the most recent image). But we don't have any data that looks plausible to run these over. I've written a script that does frequency analysis on the numbers that we got from the RAQ - the digits are uniformly distributed. You'd think that if this was a simple one-to-one mapping from english letters to digits, some digits would be overrepresented (like the letter 'e' in that last word). At the bigram level, some combinations come up more frequently, but all of them appear. Again, you'd expect that there would be at most 26 bigrams if it was a simple substitution cipher. It's possible there are nulls in the data, or that we should be looking at the mods of the numbers, but there are so many combinations that we'd need a clue to narrow things down.

It's not ASCII, as far as I can tell.

Any suggestions? Does anyone have the Kanye Quest game, maybe? I'd get it but I run OSX and it's for Windows only.

I'm also pretty new to ARGs, but I do find this stuff super interesting. It's just too bad that we don't seem to be getting anywhere.
