Wombatman [LA-centric]

Got a tip about a puzzle trail / ARG associated with the Hollywood Fringe Festival's "Wombat Man" (Adam West-era Batman homage).

http://wombatman.net/

Clicking on the "follow" button leads to a relatively straightforward series of clues leading to what might or might not be a deaddrop (and who knows where it goes from there).

Who doesn't love wombats and Adam West?! I'll bite.

After clicking the "Follow" creepy lurking bunny who is looking for people to be his/her henchmen, you will find a series of pretty simple riddles. You might not have to use Google until the last few.

The answers:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
1/8 = TRICKS, 2/8 = BUGS BUNNY, 3/8 = THREE,
4/8 = SISYPHUS, 5/8 = CALORIES, 6/8 = FLAMINGO, 7/8 = SIXTY, 8/8 = BHT

Solving these riddles will lead you to:

Play it and it will give you the answer to the follow-up question.

The correct answer to the question gives you:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
818-402-2724

Follow that number and you get a set of coordinates:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the coordinates from the phone message lead to Bronson Cave in Griffith Park, in Los Angeles. This is the cave where they shot the old Batman series with Adam West. The end of the phone message that stated: "People who can't sleep go batty and then find themselves at rock bottom" was a pretty good clue to the location even without the coordinates, what with the wombatman abd all.

So, I'm looking into the above. But I must sleep now. Cheers, and please someone HELP!

Please be careful when entering phone numbers:

THE ORIGINAL PHONE NUMBER ABOVE IS INCORRECT ( I HAVE CORRECTED IT IN THE QUOTE), IT SHOULD END IN "24", NOT "42".

and not sure on the coordinates, they are given as:

"ddd" degrees and then "mm.ss" minutes, so I get a Google Maps location in Griffith Park, but not right next to the cave.

but I get a google maps location along the trail right outside the eastern cave entrance (and it's more of a tunnel than a cave) when I use the coordinates as:

"ddd" degrees, "mm" minutes, and "ss" seconds.

Thanks for the correction on that phone number, arthurdent. I appreciate it. I just made the correction on my last post as well.

Yeah, I think you're right about the location. Also, the bat"cave" is actually less of cave and more of a tunnel. I've been there a few times.

I live in LA, not far from Griffith Park. I'm thinking of going check the area out tomorrow.
