The Mysterious Package Company

Please forgive me if there is an ongoing thread about this, but I have been unable to find one anywhere (much to my surprise!).

If any of you are on Facebook, I've no doubt you've seen adverts for The Mysterious Package Company, an enterprise in Canada that strives "to make mail less mundane, to make someone's weekly trek to their mailbox something to look forward to, rather than dread. Everything we make is woven into an adventure, a carefully crafted story that excites and energizes."

While membership with this company is free, you must apply for it. I've yet to find out if anyone's ever been denied entry. In fact...even as a member there isn't much I know about it.

I just got my Inner Circle Kit from them over Christmas, and I feel inadequate. It's my first package and tells me all about how membership works, especially now that I'm a gold card-carrying, secret handshake-knowing Inner Circlist. Mum's the word on this website, and rightly so.

Has anyone else breached the walls of this place? I figured of all the places on the everyday web, this would be the forum to find other members. If nothing else, I hope this intrigues others who have yet to discover it.

Consider me intrigued. So how DOES it work? Do you pay a subscription fee? Monthly, annually, per-box or one-time? How large are the usual packages? What kind of contents might be included? How often are they sent?

They have a couple different "experiences" which involve three separate mailings that tell a story through letters, newspaper clippings, and artifacts. There is even one that you can personalize, and it sounds like they get pretty crazy.

Basically you pay for the mailings you order, and each one has its own subscription fee. It's not cheap, but neither are the packages.

Whoever The Curator is, he and his team are very dedicated to what they do.

In the one intro video, there are words that flash for an instance, I can not grab them, what do they say?

If anyone already knows about these things, sorry in advance!

I'm thinking of signing up for the subscription. I just signed up for an account last night, so of course I don't have anything in the mail yet though. You can view the forums specifically for this storyline here:

I'm sure most of you have found it already but in case you haven't it's got some good resources for newcomers and some discussion on puzzles. I haven't really read through it yet because I'm waiting on my things to get here! Very Happy

There was one previous occurrence of The Mysterious Package Company on the forums. But it was evidently tailored specifically for the one person receiving the packages, definitely not an ongoing thread.

New experience open to non-members

In a rare move, the usually secretive Mysterious Packaging Company has developed a new experience that is accessible to non-members through a Kickstarter campaign.

Check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jkapalka/the-mysterious-package-company-presents-the-centur

This looks pretty exciting, if you ask me.
