I looked at the drop off location world map and noticed something....off:

A Butterfly....it makes the shape of a butterfly....

Now I accept that I could be wrong and this is a red haring but this seems too perfect. Another thing is the guy that went to the AMNA-A site said its still a two hour drive between the site and the drop off which is strange.

The lower blue is the same spot. The map repeats. You can pull out farther to see more iterations.

Hmmm, next forecast could be interesting. Do you think we will now have a new QPLR?

Listening to forecast7 there is definitely more hidden/encrypted stuff in there but I am new to all this and literally have no idea how to get it out. I am researching as much as I can but I am just throwing anything I can find at it. (So far have tried PSK31, an RTTY program and the SSTV program) From what I can see in the spectrogram there is data carrier sections. A dual line in the Open/closing noise and there is something in the noise static section after "Snowless".

Seems like this sort of sound coding is used alot by HAM radio. Anyone have any experience or know anyone that might be able to shed light on what we have to do to get the information from the audio file?

I'm just a casual here, but I notice you guys are analyzing so many things when I haven't read any analysis of the songs on Ascensionism's bandcamp. Some creepy sounding ambient/industrial shit I'm sure there's some hidden codes in there somewhere. Again I don't have the smarts or the time to analyze every song like y'all can but I did find lyrics sung by an Australian (probably) male in the song Draconian Akrasia on the album Unauthorized Broadcast. I could make out all but a few words:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
money can buy anything yes anything at all

when someone ___ your eyelid(?) your mouth has no price too small

when you sit at the center of your herald(?) mistress will want to know what you prefer
today will it be the old rhinestone tiara
or a new ballgag?

remember the servants(?) of ____
they haven't burnt a single thing

remember the servants(?) of ____
you don't owe them anything

Is that something everybody already knows? Anyway I hope you guys keep finding things.

I've been looking at the forecast player movements. They definitely look like they fit the simple map I shared, but I'm not sure about the movement rules. I attached a modified copy of NetLurker2's spreadsheet with an added tab that will show a little about what I mean.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
North - Seems to move you 4 cells to the left. If you fall off the map, wrap around the map and continue the movement, but 3 rows up.
South - The opposite of moving North. (not surprising)
West - Almost always moves a player left by 1 cell, but there are a few inconsistencies (Lioness in Forecast 5 and Wriggler in Forecasts 3&4). Maybe someone misheard East as West? Edit: Forecast 5 definitely has Lioness heading West, so it looks like West doesn't always move you left.
East - Looks like it moves the player randomly. My guess is that it's limited to within the 5x5 box surrounding the player, but I can't tell.
NW - No idea. In Forecast 7, NW moved China a combination of North (4 cells left, up 3 rows) and West (1 cell left). In Forecast 3, it moved Absurdus up and left by 1 cell. In Forecast 2, it moved Wriggler left 10 cells.
NE - Not enough info. Currently fits moving North and East in the same turn.
SE/SW - Haven't happened yet, except as IDSYS' first move. We don't know their location in Forecast 5, though.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Thoughts:
    - Ecowatcher has the best chance to get to the Butterfly Signora location soon (11A#). 1 movement South should return them to 10B, but they still have to move down and left by 1 cell each. I haven't really figured out a way to move down 1 cell except for with East, which is pretty random. Southeast could possibly land them on 11A# next turn with some luck.
    - Flokki could possibly land on 11A# with a lucky East right now.
    - North and South are useful to get into the right area, East can be used to jump to the right of Butterfly Signora (one hopes -- East looks pretty random), and then West can be used to move left one cell at a time (except for when it doesn't do that).
    - I'm still wondering if Slight, Moderate, and Rough have any impact on player movements.

Since we are talking about music notes, the graph should probably have those being the Y axis (a music scale) and the roman numerals being the X axis. Then the North/South would actually be moving up/down.

I had been meaning to try and graph this idea for a while now but got caught up wondering if I should start at A or middle C.

I had a similar thought, Endzo. Your post gave me the motivation to put it together. I added another tab to NetLurker2's spreadsheet with the axes reversed and also stacked the map in groups of 3 columns. The North and South movements were wrapping too reliably be unintentional.

Now, to figure out how East and West work...

Forecast 8 is out now. I haven't been able to record it though for data extraction.
