 		It looks like every band on bandcamp has a code redemption page like that, but all of Ascensionism's bandcamp albums are free to download. Unless bandcamp allows artists to hide tracks/albums, I don't know if there is anything to find there.

If there is, the codes are generated by bandcamp so they would be random and alphanumeric ("5fx9-n78j" was an example in the bandcamp documentation).

 		That's just how Bandcamp works. It isn't something the user set up, but it is a good thing to keep in mind if we do get a code in that format.

Just looking at what you got back and there are extra characters inserted in that text. I have no ideo what they are for.

Looking at it, it almost matches what I see on my keyboard (shift numbers). Looking into keyboard layouts the only one that I can find that goes close is the JIS keyboard that is used for Japanese computers.
Is this is a hint we should be working on the Japanese number sets?

What do you think guys?

Do you think this is could to be used as a way to decipher the numbers?
Using a picture of a japenese keyboard I was able to come up with the following:
Code:
r = 1
u = 2
d = 3
c = 4
m = 5
e = 6
g = 7
p = 9

Im not sure about 8 and 0 because on their keyboard the key that has the "*" symbol has the ":" symbol too, and the key with "+" has a ";"

 		This feels a bit looking too hard at it to me. Just a simple substitution of random characters to make it look corrupted, much like the 2 recent Twitter messages. However I did try tossing the replaced letters into an anagram sorter for peace of mind. Nothing came up.

I think we may do better to focus on those Twitter messages. One was solved, but not the other.

Any thoughts on this perceived corruption being related to the repeated poll not resolving due to the popular vote at the moment being opposite of what was chosen previously? Or did this start earlier than that?

 		Croatian might even be closer than Japanese, but both keyboards use a qwerty layout. It's hard to imagine much being encoded between two QWERTY keyboards. I suppose the Japanese keyboard could be used similar to:

 		Speaking of my dropbox folder, I guess it wasn't synching for about a day. Forecast 12 is up and it's pretty crazy. It has a bunch of distortion, but I can't hear anything no matter how I manipulate it.

 		Hmmm... Still tough to hear, but the audio was reversed, slowed, and distorted further. I'll transfer this to the google spreadsheet tomorrow, but I'm going to bed for now.

While doing so I noticed a few things about our friend A1-QPLR:

After Wriggler's failed attempt to take Absurdus' tank, his related prisoner number was killed. The next forecast (6), Wriggler was absent from the listing, but China appeared. However, any other deaths including ones to A1-QPLR resulted in a butterfly being left on the map and notated in subsequent forecasts.

Recently the radio station has begun to cycle in a track titled All Around the Roundabout - 60 Butterfly Wriggler. Does this mean his butterfly is outside of the map or something else? The 60 stands out to me since he disappeared after Forecast 6.

Thou's ID image is of a clay figurine. Reginald's somewhat looks like clay too if there is something to be read in that.

In Forecast 12, it looks like SOLITARE and LAZENBY became butterflies and they were the only ones in Slight locations. THOU also just landed on a Rough location and didn't become a butterfly. Did I just accidentally kill characters by calling in slight storms? My original guess was that it would change the map, but now it looks like it determines which storm type causes butterflies.

The 3 upcoming storms are all Slight, so YUGITO will probably turn into a butterfly in the next Forecast.


There's a new file in my dropbox called "Ascensionism - Ascend.mp3" that seems to have 0 audio information. If anyone happens to see it come up on AMNA-A, maybe check the album image for possible clues (images were added to all of the tracks this week).

Not sure if you were the cause of that. The Storm MP3's (1-4) all seem to be locations that you were trying to get made into slight storms.

"This is Reginald, errr, please call me back at" BEEP BEEP BEEP (DTMF Tones, disguising his phone number) near the end of tones it says "MAN" (hear Reginald in the background saying "Thank you, bye") "M-A-N 854 Phone number" then DTMF tones (10 tones I believe they are 3202 72363, the tone after 3202 doesn't register on the program I was using).
Then says "Time for" and at that point the next track cuts in but I swear he says "Contest".
Time for contest.


Do those numbers mean stuff to the people using the RAQ number. Didn't we have another 854 number before?

i don't play this arg but i do run a bandcamp so i know some stuff about it! it actually does allow you to add hidden tracks to your albums that are only available upon purchase. plus you get the option to write a little message that pops up for anyone who buys an album.
