Why is that, Shad0? I assumed she was.

Y'know, I don't remember -- it's just an impression I have -- and the vast majority of Lucinda's text is gone, so I can't even look for it. Maybe I'm totally wrong.

At any rate, she is currently described as "Vital processes in her body permanently ended." I was kinda sorta thinking that might be referring to something that had already happened before we ever found her at Your World of Text, and really she's still around (but powerless, thanks to us) in whatever digital form she has now. I definitely remember her saying something about knowing how to "avoid death" when talking about what happened at the end of the play Eclipse...

All pure SPEC, of course. At any rate, if her vital processes have permanently ended, she's unlikely to be the intern. (Unless, I suppose, 88 somehow transplanted her into another body or something like that... Yay, more pure SPEC!)

Just a heads up, Callum Felderi is active on Facebook messenger at the moment. Asking him about Scutum.

Edit: Our conversation

Hey Callum! I heard you're the man to talk to if I have questions about 88.

Sure - sorry for not responding - been really manic at work for the last two days - with the bank holiday, the assigning of new safespots and - sorry - I'm waffling - anyhow - yes - your quesitons

Callum
Ah, you're trying to get into the secure area on the website huh? No worries- I did that when I was interested about the company too - though back then, the website was much simpler to ahck. Now, you actually require the password which is only issued by Mr Ormsby himself on a changing weekly basis. [and before you try to guess his favourite colour/pet etc - no - he just uses a long shift of random letters and numbers - !!! thought I'd save you the time!]

We are - this won't distract us from the applications for new people - we're just dealing with a new project which is going to require everyone's focus - I'm actually at home on my work laptop [have to keep work and private life separate!]
long process each time of making it secure - but worth it - means I can do my work in my pyjamas.. wink emoticon

Oh I feel you on that. I do a little work from home and being comfortable while I do it is nice.
You guys seem to be on a hiring kick lately. Is that all for the new project?

Sort of yes, we've had a bit of staff changeover due to relocation from London to MK and the new project will require more staff, yes.

Nah, she's ok - i.m.o. they worked her too hard - a 96 hour shift - albeit with sleep incorporated itno the time - not good for anyone - but if you want to be the best...? That and she drank our wine. Not recommended for general consumption... wink emoticon

No. She doesn't work here anymore.
I have to go - wouldn't mind a bottle of 'Sandwells' myself though - pity we keep it all at work. [we call it Sandwells due to the postcode and the 'brewer' being a Torchwood fan!]
Take care

no probs. Sorry if I seem a bit off - just loads fo work and a few messages to sort out. Best time to get me is mid-daytime. Will most likely be allowed to work from home tomorrow as we're launching the project later next week and all non-essential staff [including the social networking guy - moi - aren't needed in the office - feel sorry for Kane though - he's higher level than me and even though he's HR and recruitment, he also has to do Andrew Ormsby's messaging as well! Almost a glorified PA!

LoL the 108 Junction Street thing was pretty funny.

Also, I don't know about the Sandwell thing either. He brought up needing a drink a few times so I didn't know if that was a hint about something or not. Hopefully I didn't miss something important. Sad

Sleep time?

I'm intrigued by Callum's reference to a 96 hour shift with sleep time. Does he mean that the admin was working while she was asleep? Using some form of lucid dreaming or astral projection maybe?

Excited to find out more about the "new project" being launched... Smile

Callum is back on Facebook. Just a heads up. :3

Edit: LoL, be sure not to talk to Callum about the application. I assumed Kane and him were both part of the application process, but you get penalized if you mention anything about the application, no matter how vague. Will post conversation later.

Edit x2: Okay there's definitely something here. We just have to find out what's being hinted at.

I have! I sent in my application and cover letter and then I think Mr. Ormsby's assistant sent me some tests and I completed those and sent them back as well.
Hopefully I did okay. Not sure what to expect.

Bearwood

Bearwood is a district in the locality of Smethwick in the metropolitan borough of Sandwell, West Midlands, UK. It's about 75 miles away from Milton Keynes.

Torchwood is a BBC sci-fi spin-off of the 2005 revival of Doctor Who. From its inception, the BBC invested in a heavy online presence for the series, with an alternate reality game running alongside the show's first two series. Unless there's another Torchwood I'm not coming up with...

Maybe Sandwell's affects people similarly.

I think you might be right, but can anyone think of a link between Bearwood/Sandwell and Torchwood? I thought maybe they were both anagrams, since Torchwood is an anagram of Doctor Who, but so far I'm not coming up with much that seems relevant.
