The 'Brewer'

Why does Callum keep emphasizing the 'brewer'? Wine-makers aren't brewers. And what could it have to do with Bearwood/Sandwell postcodes and Torchwood?

I feel like I'm going down the wrong path, but the most well-known brewery in Sandwell/Bearwood is Mitchells & Butlers Brewery. The company still exists, but the brewery itself closed down in 2002.

Talking to Callum now... he had to put a password on something I stumbled across but i have screenshots and the sourcecode. It's in my 88 google doc for those who are sharing that with me. Those who want to, PM me with your email address and I'll share access with you. I'm also going to post a transcript of our conversation.

B67

Ok - I think I've got something on the link between Sandwell/Bearwood and Torchwood:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
B67 is a postcode for Sandwell and Bearwood.

In the Torchwood episode mentioned previously, the amnesia pills that cause someone to forget recent memories contain a special compound called B67, or Retcon (for retroactive continuity). B67 is the link between Sandwell / Bearwood and Torchwood.

And now, off to read more about retroactive continuity...

So does this mean they've Retconned Lucy out? Or do we need to help Callum with his memory problem?

Octo - remember that geocache?

I found something!!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So I was thinking about Callum's geocaching hobby, and I decided to go back and look at the description of the Octo geocache in MK more closely. It turns out the geocache is named for a stainless steel sculpture in the shape of an infinity eight, by Wendy Taylor!!! Sound familiar? See 88 FB page! I looked up the coordinates of the cache, and it brought me to 88 Saxon Gate, in MK. The building is called Norfolk House. I found this article about it!! http://www.miltonkeynes.co.uk/news/local/redevelopment-plans-at-central-mk-buildings-could-ruin-iconic-sculpture-say-residents-1-6838917 How cool is that!

Where did Callum get posted?

Earlier on, Callum mentioned 88 staff members had been posted to all kinds of cool places, and he got posted somewhere in MK. He said that he was posted 2 miles away from the office and 0.5 miles from home. Here's a 2 mile radius around 88 Saxon Gate in Milton Keynes.

The Wiki also mentions that the amnesia caused by B67 could be reversed if the memories are triggered by a specific image. The 88's Sandwell may operate in the same manner.

Also, Arnold's Cat Map could be a hint that, while Callum's memories are mixed up right now, we might be able to get him back to his true self with some manipulation?

On an somewhat related note, has anyone who had originally pledged to help Lucy applied to The 88? I remember Lucy mentioning that we couldn't/shouldn't get involved w/ the agency, but that we'd also be more targeted. If this is all a retcon, does none of that apply now?

Description   IF Two Mile Ash is where Callum got posted, then he lives somewhere in the area where these two radii overlap.

Wow, you guys have all found a lot of good stuff.

I wonder what "image" could be used to jog Callum's memory. Something meaningful probably. Maybe something good between him and Lucy?

Re: memories and Sandwells

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
When Callum refers to Sandwells and childhood memories, e.g. sand pit, (see writernancy's Google Drive screen capture) I think he's pointing us to Boeshane Peninsula -- sandy area where Jack Harkness (of Torchwood) grew up. http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Jack_Harkness

I can only see the first one (the actual conversation), but not the screen grab from the website. Not sure why.

I'm going to jump in there now and see if I can figure out why people are having difficulty seeing things... if someone else wants to jump into the drive or gchat me to let me know if the issue is resolved that would be great.

Should we advise Callum to not drink the wine anymore? That will also help him get back to himself more quickly.

One more thing... can someone teach me how to post an image - like you all did with the maps? Then I could post stuff right here instead of spamming everyone with my google share folder.

Sure thing -- when you post a reply, select "Add an attachment" in the Options box on the top left of the screen. Then you can browse through your drive and add a pic.
