Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Or, and this seems a bit of a stretch, does MLKD refer to Martin Luther King Day, which fell on 19 January in 2015 (191 section, which is Modern Western philosophy, US and Canada) and 18 January in 2016 (181 section, which is Oriental philosophy)... not sure what "sy and Dia Have past tense steaL" refers to... could it be a 'mad gab'? "Have past tense" sounds a lot like half past ten.

"past tense" means history, so we might be looking for travel history, like the account of some historical figure's travels.

I do not think E. Nigma means D.H. Lawrence and Italy, or any other travel history. Here is my interpretation:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
DHL = D.H. Lawrence
"past tense steaL" = stole
"sy and Dia Have past tense steaL" = systole and diastole (the components of a heartbeat)

"MLKD" = Martin Luther King Day, January 18
"MLKD provides the 'section'" = 'section' 181

D.H. Lawrence's "A Woman and Her Dead Husband" is #181 in the 1917 collection The New Poetry, An Anthology, and line 30 of that poem is "Systole, diastole." I think that poem must be the key.

Could the date E. Nigma wants be the 30th? Or does the Dewey Decimal System reference make things a little trickier? D.H. Lawrence was English, so his poetry would ordinarily fall under 821. Harriet Monroe, however, who edited the anthology E.Nigma appears to be referencing, was American, and American poetry falls under 811, which is at least "an english date that's real": November 8. Perhaps that's the date E. Nigma means? Both seem a bit distant.

Edit: Or, having now read E. Nigma's actual post: He says he's meeting "someone" on October 9. Perhaps the solution is that the meeting will be at 8:11 p.m. or 8:21 p.m.?

'Nother edit: Or, better yet: We already know Callum's expecting a meeting at a library. What if this is the specific book in which he's going to drop the USB drive!? That's my best guess, for the moment.

You could be right. We were thinking that 9th, October meant something more than the peak of the Draconid Meteor Shower in this puzzle, which is why we fixated on 910, and what it indicates in the Dewey System, but we could have been barking up the wrong tree. I do think we need to avoid American interpretations, though, since our PM is British. I mean, does MLK really mean anything to non-Americans? At this point, I don't know what to do, because we're about to run out of time, and I have to go and be a mom now. I'll leave it to y'all until later...

pretty sure you're right, that's where i was going with it as well.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
except i was thinking it would be more of the specific book we'd find it it. now that you mention the date he's meeting someone, i think it's more likely that the solution is the time. not sure how much we can say on Ed's facebook since it's being monitored but maybe we can say something?

Well hell, hopefully I didn't screw anything all up. Unfortunately I hadn't been following along too closely with the puzzle because of some school stuff. But Callum messaged me today and I took the opportunity to push him a little about Lucy since she wanted us to try and get him out of 88.

There's also some more stuff in here about the drop.

Quote:
Callum
Hi Richenda - not got long - they've not expected me to come in so early - its 7.50 am here!
tell Shadow he's got the right poem and therefore the general topic as well... see someone on Thursday ok - I'll "get edward" to put up a time very soon...

She always says that.
I'm fine now.
now that we're not together anymore...
I didn't count on having this extra time to discuss the usb drop puzzle with someone - I know DHL is English but as he wrote for American literature, and the date was perfect with the dewey!
everyone will think, if they're watching my posts etc directly, that I'll be meeting on the next day - but, with needing to get them to wacth me elsewhere...

I'm also taking this to mean that Facebook is NOT a secure means of communication anymore, including the group chat we have going. I'd probably try and not communicate certain bits of information to Callum until we have another semi-secure space, lest we be found out by the rest of 88.

Still don't totally understand why Callum is effected so much by Lucy. It seems to be beyond emotional. Like they've messed with his brain in some way.

P.S. I'm not sure if this was posted already, but the ~lucylime yourworldoftext has changed to this:

P.P.S - I believe Lucy is on right now.

Okay P.P.P.S.

Spoke with Lucy on YourWorldofText. I think I got most of the conversation in the three attached screenshots. A few things to note.

1) Still need to figure out the significance of Andrew Ormsby and his real name? She's hinting at it along the top. At one point I guessed hydra when she said Revelations, but eventually she changed it to Rev 1:11. AO = the Alpha and Omega?

2) Callum has indeed been compromised and to help him and Lucy we're supposed to email her creative responses to the word 'hidden' before Thursday. I'm assuming the more (or the more creative) the better.

3) I believe Callum and Lucy want to know the best time for all of us to communicate. Can we come up with something when most people are on, or the most active people are on? Or perhaps the people who prefer to ask questions etc? I'm sure there are people that prefer to lurk or solve puzzles and some who are more interested in the communication aspect. Maybe those people can post times of when they're most likely available and then we can pass it on to Lucy?

4) Drop is indeed happening in the library on Thursday. See previous post or two about the convo I had with Callum as to the details. Looks like it's happening at dusk.

5) There's a hidden channel people at 88 are using to communicate. I know we found one previously but 88 became alerted of it. Looks like we need to find the new one.

Hopefully I didn't miss anything. :O

E. Nigma posted another word search. So far, I have
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"LETTERS AS NUMBERS ISBN OOBFACAFOI"

That last bit might be because I'm missing some words, or it could be relevant. I'll keep looking.

I got "LETTERS AS NUMBERS ISBNOOBFACAFOI" as well. But that's with only 21 words. 21 isn't prime, and the next highest prime is 23? Primes between 13 and 24 are 17, 19, and 23. So either we have two extra words or missing two? If it's indeed an ISBN, then

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
OOBFACAFOI could be 0026131609 which converts to the 13 digit ISBN 978-0-02-613160-5

Which is this book? http://www.isbnsearch.org/isbn/9780026131605

Edit: I'm dumb. It's a PRIME LESS than the number of runes. Aka 24. minus 3. 21. So yeah. I think we're on target. XD

MLKD
Real date or time?

MLKD definitely has nothing to do with Martin Luther King Day, because
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dewey's full name is Melville Louis Kossuth Dewey. It was right there, on his Wikipedia page. Dunce This makes the section 821, but I don't see how that's "... an english date that's real" unless we're supposed to find something that's from August 1921, or 1821, etc. Maybe the MK Central Library adds a 1 to the front of those numbers, to indicate the first floor, but I don't know. It might be moot now, anyway.

Has anyone looked at the Lucy screenshot stuff from several days ago that was shared yesterday or the day before? I think the 18/78 and 18:22/78 "This Rests In Or Near Florence, Italy" thing is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Trionfi, which is the first Tarot deck, 18 out of the 22 Major Arcana, 78 total cards. #18 is The Moon, which is likely old news at this point.

So I know quite a few of us are online at the moment, and we may have totally compromised the Facebook chat. So I will make the suggestion that if people want to have OOG real time discussion, join the irc server irc.chat-solutions.org and the room #callumfelderi

If you don't have a program for IRC, you can go to https://www.mibbit.com/.
Click on "Launch Mibbit Client".
To the right of the "Connect" box, click server.
Fill in server as "irc.chat-solutions.org"
Fill in a nickname for yourself
Fill in channel as #callumfelderi
Then hit connect.

Also, good catch with the name Pictish.
