[INFO?] Is there a 'proper' assembly of the final wavs?

You know. The order they're in at contactme.html? I don't like the way Melissa organized them as it kind of loses the effect...

Hmm... I actually meant something like the 4 storylines as they are but then the last part where
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the Covenant shows up in all of their storylines
to be separate like in the contactme order if you know what I mean...

Hey there..long time lurker, first time poster.

I've been keeping the guys on GamersRepublic.net filled in on the story of ilovebees.com. For Chapter 12, I pieced the sound clips together properly, in chronological order, and have them stored on my website. Here are the links so you can check them out yourself:

if you want t good ordering of wavs, the axon plot has split threads where it makes more sense... instead of viewing all the chapters in their respective threads, it's better to place them in order by scene... most of the chapters work thread by thread, but a few of them have simultaneous events or sequential events across threads... so, like they ordered on contactme.html for chapter 12, the audios should be split by scene...

Shieldwulf has the right idea for chapter 12... I will soon be taking all the chapters and splitting out the scenes into their invidual mp3's, which will also make it easier to make up an 'audiobook' style story, an audio cd or an mp3cd, where you can listen from chapter 1 scene 1 (regardless of thread) all the way to Melissa's farewell, and it will all flow...

and you know, I think that's the way the PMs had planned it, but as we beekeepers got the clips the first week, we needed to organize them, and thus started the whole 'thread' thing... the way they sent us chapter 12 proves that's how they probably intended the chapters to be heard - by scene, not thread...

My dismay is that Dana's order (Jan, Kumal, Jersey, Rani, Herzog) works so well for almost all of the other chapters, but for Week 12 is so obviously (to me, anyway) incorrect. It seems much more dramatic to me to begin with Rani in prison and end with Jersey stopping the music, making the order Rani, Jan, Kumal, then Jersey.

I do believe that all the individual subjects are linear, however, so I can't agree with Shieldwulf's interpretation of breaking them down by scenes. Certainly, this allows for maximum continuity, but it jumbles the five different people together, which I think 4orty2wo wanted to keep separate.

Anyone else agree?

nope, I disagree. the wavs were given in order on the contactme.html page as they went live. And that quite obviously is split by scene, not thread. I was wondering because a number of wavs may end with a long wind, and the next wav starts with a short, or vice versa... but this is because of the jump between threads... but that order of wavs is quite obviously story-time chronological, and given chapter 11 and 12 were both given in sequential order, not random like all previous weeks, I'm 99% positive that all the sound clips from the past were intended to be ordered by scene... even though most of the previous chapters can still make sense strictly ordered by thread, a couple made better sense, or flowed better, being broken by scene (for instance, the funeral where Jersey talks with Durga, then leaves to go to the funeral, where it should jump to Jan's thread, then return to Jersey's thread later)

Well, the chapters on the DVD are all the same, so it might actually be as intended. Sometimes strict chronological order isn't best, from a storytelling standpoint. Wink

So has anyone completed a compilation of clips in the original order posted by the PMs?

No, I meant in the original order when we were unlocking the tiny .wav's. Example: like Shieldwulf posted, Chapter 12 should start with Sarah John's visit to Rani in prison.

the only 2 that didn't need ordering were chapter 11 and 12... 11 was one long thread with everyone, each wav given in order, and chapter 12 was the same (except humpty lists the full threads, not by the scenes)... all the other chapters were jumbled clips where the community ordered them the best we knew how... ie, no one really, honestly knows the intended order of the scenes for chapters 1-10... best guesses, and most likely they're all right, but given chapter 12's layout, the actual initial official ordering of scenes may be different, even if it doesn't impact the chapter's story one iota...
