The Magic Circle

This game is listed

it is a surreal experience game up Jim's alley

http://questiongames.com/ is the website listed for them but the link leads nowhere

Mentioned of the fake kickstarter campaign is a person called Coda like from the Beginners Guide what if frog fractions 2 is not one game but many inspired by Frog Fractions?

You mean this game?

For what it's worth, The Magic Circle is a great game.

I didn't listen to closely to the entire podcast, but I did notice a child making different noises throughout.
At the end Someone talks to the child and says: "Ahh! What do I do William?", which also happens to be the commanding officer for herbie on the beta access page.
Perhaps the audio with William is a clue somehow?

According to the blog below, William is the name of Gord's son, so that's why. Makes sense that he's a child now, so he'll be the commanding officer in the future. Nice! Smile

edit: seems they mention tunisians developing time travel around 39 mins or so

The only thing I can remember that connects Tunisia and time travel is Lost. I didn't find anything else in google.

This is the book series they were talking about:

Don't know if this is important. I Google image searched the background tile from http://decaytruth.info/index.html . Got this http://seamlesstile.tumblr.com/post/8214454100/httpwwwart404comlog . Clicked the Ellis link leading to this http://www.eilismcdonald.com/ . Clicked the ..... at the top left for this http://www.eilismcdonald.com/cv/ . Then clicked RGKSKSRG and got this http://www.rgksksrg.com/eilismcdonald/ . Weird.

So, guys, I propose we do a list of "things to watch out for at IndieCade" and spread it around -- like on Reddit and NeoGAF -- to look for volunteers to send us pictures/videos and keep us updated during the event.

I'll start:

  • Anything with the Ashby name on it, specially of course games or beers.
  • Stuff with the number 17 - again, specially games or beers.
  • Anything weird involving time traveling.
  • The main characters: Gadsby, Herbie, Number Six, Dwayne, William, Charles Foster Ashby, (anyone else?)
  • Frogs?
  • Please stalk Jim Crawford during the event!

Yeah whoever goes should probably look out for bread and any acronym of it, also going to the Beer thingy is a given (regardless) Smile

Is TT = TableTop? Is Jim making a FF tabletop game?

A lot of people are looking for frogs, but I don't think we will see any, Jim did say that this game would have nothing to do with FF.

I'd wager it's Time Travel, but table top does seem to make at least some sense with Bradley's Operation.

Also I'll add a new thing: look for the Red Pages Podcast guys, and if possible buy them a drink (I'm betting there'll be some kind of Ashby #17 beer available there). Maybe that's what they mean by "opening the communication with the number 17" -- it means you should start the conversation by buying them a #17 beer. Or something!?

See the messages below!

Please say hi to Officer William for me (even if he won't probably understand it).
Corporal Herbie out.

Hello Herbie!

Thanks for listening to Red Pages Podcast!  We're a bit baffled by the meaning of your email, or what you mean by "Officer William" (he's still a baby) but appreciate your patronage.  Make sure to come say hi to us at the Indiecade festival this weekend in Culver City, LA from the 23rd through the 25th if you're in the area - maybe you can buy us a drink and explain what you mean!

We hope you keep listening and enjoy the show!

xoxox,

Justin, Gord & Paul

Ok guys I posted a request for volunteers on Reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/isthisfrogfractions2/comments/3pi5ps/arg_anyone_going_to_indiecade_we_need_volunteers/

Can anyone post something similar on the NeoGAF thread? I registered a week ago but still no permission to post.

Also, anyone has any idea where else we should try?

Only other place I can think of right away is the FF2 kickstarter page.

Okay guys so basically we pretty much got... nobody. I guess we'll just have to hope we're lucky and whatever is important for the arg will be visible enough in the general media coverage, or that somebody will come to us after the thing, or... I don't know.

I'm attending the festival (I'm a speaker and we're showing a game), so I'll check it out. We've got a houseful of peeps here who are all very intrigued.

We'll be at the festival site tomorrow, but the games aren't being shown until Friday, so I'll scope stuff out, but whatever it is might not be accessible for a while.
