Cards Against Humanity's "Holiday BS" Puzzle

The makers behind the game "Cards Against Humanity" are in the middle of a little side-venture where they had 100,000 people pay $12 to receive 12 gifts leading up to christmas. As a part of this, they have revealed there is a secret code spread out through all 12 gifts to be solved (with vague talk of a prize involved)

Currently I've found two groups discussing this: here and here

Current thinking is that it involves the ordering of colored lights on the envelopes. There are five colors (Green, Yellow, Red, Blue, Purple) and one mailing with those five colors in that order. Starting clockwise from the stamps on the envelopes, all sequences begin with Green, possibly hinting at a "lining up" of the lights. However, not all sequences are the same length...

For the envelopes I've received, the orders are:

G B B G G Y R Y 10 P Y B Y P R Y P P R Y Y B R R P Y 40 G B Y G Y B B G Y R 14 G G P Y B P Y R Y P Y G Y Y
G G B G G B G B B G G Y R R Y B B Y Y R B R B B G G Y Y B Y B B Y R R B B Y Y B Y Y Y G G R B R G
G R R G G Y Y G G G B Y P Y Y P Y B G Y P Y G R R P G R G G Y B G P P P Y G P P Y P B B Y G G P P

G B B G G B G G R B P B G G B B R R B R B Y Y B Y Y B G B P G G Y G G P R R B B Y Y R B R B P B G G B Y B P B Y

My first thought was to see if the fine folks of unforums had any thoughts.

From the Cards Against Humanity tumblr:
Quote:
On the first day of Holiday Bullshit, we announced that there was a puzzle hidden across the 12 Days. So far no one has solved it. Here's a few hints that we think might point people in the right direction:

There really is a puzzle, the puzzle really has a solution, and there really is a prize for solving it.
If you solve the puzzle, you will know what to do to let us know.
The puzzle requires multiple steps, one leading to the next.
As far as we know, no one has figured out the first step.
The cipher on the first day is not the whole puzzle - that's just a hint to help you on your way.
The reason we included the cipher is that we thought it would tell you what to focus on to crack the first step of the puzzle.

Happy hunting!
