The timezones in the email are interesting.

+0300 shows up at the top, which could be around Moscow, but then the date field near the bottom is
Code:
Date: Mon, 19 Oct 2015 13:38:04 -0700
.

At the time (late October), the -0700 timezone would cover LA and San Fran.

http://www.timeanddate.com/time/map/

I'm thinking it could be hinting at some kind of meetup time?

13:38. AKA leet o'clock + 1.

I got into the email, here is the full text of it. The subject was 'Note to self' and the only text in the body was 'Butts' in bold...

Cool, but just out of curiosity, did you guess the password or something?

Edit: Nevermind. Smile

Got the security question

An email came in from ltsamuelresistSPLATgmail.com not sure if it's legit or not but for now I'll assume it is:

Quote:
Hey Buddy

You should be getting notification of a delivery of goods pretty soon. Central hopes to have it out within a week. Let me know if anything goes wrong.

Stay frosty,

Samuel

PS: Tell Dwayne he still owes me a rematch on the court and that this time I'm bringing a ref to make sure he doesn't commit any personal fouls.

New email came in.

Quote:
Hey chum,

Here's your requisition order information. Hope you can put this to better use than the folks in the labs have been. Some weird stuff going on, but anything's worth it for the cause. We'll send you an update when the order ships out.

Details

Arriving: Wednesday, January 20
Ship to: Amazon Locker - Cerrito, El Cerrito Plaza

Good luck out there,

Samuel

We need someone to pick something up in El Cerrito, CA sometime after Wednesday. Is it local for anyone?

I'm in the bay and happen to be free this week! I'm sick though, so if someone who isn't contagious wants to pick up the package, that might be better.

Thank you for this, it seems like we have someone that can do this that's not a bio-hazard. Wink

We still don't have a more certain time than the 20th though.

To further support my chess theory LordHuffnPuff has made three tweets about chess.

Quote:

"I just can't find my love for playing Chess anymore. I feel bad because I used to love it so much and I still think it's great."

Quote:
"In middle school I was the best chess player I knew and would regularly host school-wide tournaments that were widely attended and loved."

Quote:
"In college I would read Through the Looking Glass and make careful notation of where each point in the book corresponded to a chess move."

In THD10 there's that King of Spades again peeking out of the spectrum:

I think it's even got the line coming out of his eye as in this tweet (which Quaxo reminded me of on the discord chat).

Have we seen him anywhere else?

Lots of "king" themes, with the king.com link from "Looking for Riccardo Zacconi" and Jim's connection with kingdomofloathing.com...

I remember looking at that spectrum for a fair while in the red and blue and it was too hard to see that it is hard now even though I know what I am looking at!

I did a google search for the e-mail name, and found another e-mail pasted into pastebin

It is at http://pastebin.com/8bWHv2s5

and appears to be a response to the original e-mail.

questions:

Is the email created by the PM? or by "dave is ok"? or someone else ?

Is the pastebin created by the PM? or by "dave is ok"? or someone else ?

Yeah, both the email and pastebin were created by "dave is ok" or someone else with access to the account checking if the message headers matched up with the original one. There's been a couple other test emails sent too. The ones from samuel seem like they're probably legit though.

OK, so roughly 30 minutes ago, another email from Samuel (ltsamuelresistSPLATgmail.com) was sent to the gustav.klimt.69SPLATyandex.com account. Here's what it says:

Quote:
Dear chum,

You should have your locker code soon. Wait for the code. You have a three day window.

Stay frosty,
Samuel

Also, according to Amazon's website, pick-up codes are sent once the delivery has arrived and is available for pick-up, so it makes sense that we don't have the pick-up code yet. I'd assume it'll be sent to the gustav.klimt.69SPLATyandex.com account sometime tomorrow. On Amazon's website it also says that deliveries to Amazon Lockers are available for pick-up for "3 business days" after delivery, so it looks like this is actually going to be a delivery to an Amazon locker, rather than some kind of an event in that area.

I live fairly close by and I have the rest of the week off, so I'll probably try picking it up and uploading a video of everything tomorrow.
