I don't think that's how the game will start. Looking at IMDB and old interviews and reading the script that leaked before the rewrites could help us gather information about the initial clover connection, but the game is going to start somewhere away from those materials. after all, the TINAG aesthetic is what makes an ARG, right?

i'm pretty convinced that if there is connection to the game from 08 (god, i wish there is) that it's the TIDO stuff. the france connection is strong but not enough. i reread the blogs today to see if there was anything that would be helpful, but haven't seen anything new.

maybe because the movie does or does not take place in some sort of emergency state, social media will be less important for the characters? before, the myspace profiles weren't always too important to the game but added context to the story so i think, if anything, we'll find profiles later rather than sooner.

i don't know. i keep looking for things and finding nothing. there has to be something here, right?

 		While there is a East Marion on Long Island, NY, the logo from the hat looks like the logo for the East Marion Eagles of East Marion High School in Columbia, MS.

 		Clothing Analysis & Timeline
I'm going to cross post this between UF, Reddit and IMdb to share far and wide. I went through the trailer and focused on trying to sort out a timeline. Since this is a visual presentation and I can't post images anywhere but UF, I decided to put them on my little gaming site and do it there.

Clothing changes do help sort out the timeline but the puzzle itself really reveals a lot more than we first thought. Please check it out and feed back, either here or on the site (disqus if you use it. If not, here's fine!)

 		SPECULATION:
I have the feeling that if we do get an ARG it will have to do with whatever incident is going on outside the bunker or at least a lead up to it. While the Last ARG for Cloverfield had the main characters involved at the start. I predict this one will go more of the route of Super8.

I hate to say it, but i fear we may not get anything. Either way, I love the fandom and fun that I get out of reading and seeing people's speculations and wild goose hunts. If anything, I usually learn a lot about the trails I am going on (The Swamp Pop Business seems like an interesting origin story) and have fun trying to connect the dots they give us.

Happy Trails everyone, here's hoping we get something to play with Smile

PS: That poster's wierd static does seem pretty suspect.. but i havent found anything all day Sad

 		Hey guys, so my dad printed me the poster yesterday and he thought it might be a good idea to put the clouds together (like how the original movie's poster has Clovie in the smoke) I kind of see an open creature jaw, but I don't know. What do you guys think?

So Swamp Pop is supposed to be a real drink down south. Someone on Reddit posted that they thought it was part of the ARG, called the number and the person had no idea their beverage was part of anything...so he figured, okay, not in game.

Til he looked at their lifetime shelter supply....which is sold out...

Notice the price. Look closer...

The tagline reads: This is a 15 year ration of assorted flavors, specially packaged for extended periods of dry storage—for when there doesn't seem to be anyone around. Available by special request only.

The price is 4,813!!!!

In the trailer - when the shot of the Swamp Pop on the table is center focus, the song changes from I think we're alone now to....wait for it...

THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE ANYONE AROUND!!!
