Are you kidding me?? Do you not remember the LOST Experience - sponsored by Jeep, and Sprite, and I don't remember what else because I was SO turned off by the meta sponsorship bs that I think I stopped following....

As for why "can't drink just 4" instead of 6? Because they are a real company, that sells its product in 4 packs.
Even if this is fake, it's genius of Swamp Pop to capitalize on this. But did buying slusho shirts way back when yield any results to further the ARG? i can't remember...thinking about buying a 4 pack but don't wanna spend money if i don't need to.

If I remember correctly, some of the Slusho! packages had newspaper clippings and other clues about Tagruato in them; I could also be confusing my games, hah.

I just bought a four pack of the Satsuma Fizz--here's hoping we get some clues. The song reference and Slusho! reference can't be just capitalizing on an ARG from 8 years ago. This has to be their way of telling us they are IG. I am counting on it.

Will report back when I receive the package.

that's fair--we don't really have anything to go off of until today and it could just be the company capitalizing on a trailer that has some heat. after all, they have been in business since 2013 and only decided to make their shop available this month. they could be just trying to make a buck.

i think that this wreaks of a nondisclosure deal, but there are so many reasons to be skeptical. I think the reference to the song as well as the previous slusho! logo are too much to be not connected at this point. i am hopelessly optimistic these leads pan out.

Until now, we haven't found a single thing. If Swamp Pop is in on it, then we have a viable lead. But until we found more on this, I would take the references on their site with a grain of salt.

Virtually Quinn did some legwork and it shows the links to the 10 Cloverfeild Lane trailer / Cloverfield universe were added before the trailer was released, and not in response to people calling after the trailer asking about it.

totally. i am taking this entire experience with a grain of salt. but i am young enough and naive enough to believe that swamp pop wouldn't open a store this month and have such specific references to Slusho! if they weren't IG.

*sigh*

just really hoping this pans out

Awesome work everybody and great analysis, virtuallyquinn! Rock On

So we have here another Slusho-version?

I mean, JJ has it always with snacks and drinks.

Alias, Cloverfield, Star Trek = Slusho
Super 8 = Rocket Poppeteers
LOST - Apollo

and now: Swamp Pop Smile

The main difference is that Swamp Pop is a real drink, and an IRL, established brand.

Yes, that's true. This time it's a real product placement Smile
I wonder, whether the movie make an advert for them, or they are copycats after trailer, or something in between.

The first variant wouldn't be so nice, like that movie with Malkovich, which will be shown only 100 years later (which is actually only a advert for a liquor)
