Not that i'm doubting what he is saying, I just don't understand the screening of The Cellar in November that supposedly had nothing to do with this movie then. Was that also false?

Test screening was real as confirmed by Dan Trachtenberg's twitter back in Nov. The guy(s) who supposedly saw it (one on twitter, one on imdb forums) claimed there is virtually no Cloverfield-related stuff in it, but those reports can't be verified.

Because:

Peter Sciretta ‏@slashfilm 1 hour ago @mattkward I'm not saying its a Cloverfield sequel, just saying all those things are wrong.

Here's the exchange link

I shared this also - with more info about the script, screening, connection

I'm amazed at the way some of them speak with such certainty of a movie they haven't even seen:

Quote:
Jay - Indie Revolver ‏@IndieRevolver 2h2 hours ago

@slashfilm are you saying there weren't reshoots?
0 retweets 0 likes

Jay - Indie Revolver ‏@IndieRevolver 2h2 hours ago

@slashfilm they made the decision to connect them which required reshoots

Jay - Indie Revolver ‏@IndieRevolver 1h1 hour ago

@slashfilm I get ur tight with Dan, but that doesn't invalidate all the info. Write your own piece, go on record & refute it.

Also it kinda does invalidate all the info, since the reddit thread states it's closer to the script than it actually seems to be.

I saw it here. From what I gather, it's not real, as the person who posted this supposedly spoke to the real Anna Whitlow.

FFS - it was posted by a player here, who got caught making the fake account. People need to read before they post... seriously.

Someone asked if the company had said anything. I was giving them an answer to the fact that they hadn't and someone had just made a fake response, and they asked for proof. I wasn't really sure what else to do, other than give them the link.

Dear John letters?

Received my Swamp Pop confirmation today that my four pack of Satsuma Fizz had shipped. Weirdly enough it was addressed as "Dear John"

I thought this was a weird typo or data glitch (hell, it could be) but a few people on Reddit have also confirmed their emails said the same.

Anyone else?

Yes, when you replied I searched for it and it came up in another locked thread, so I didn't asked for the link but someone else did. Thanks for your reply. I guess I'll consider the Swamp Pop facebook page as not acknowledging the movie for now, which is good.

First off, hello again after a few years of inactivity!

Regarding the Pop, unless you are hoping for some kind of IG clue in a shipment from them, I was able to find some to buy locally. They had it at my local Cost Plus World Market, and they have a tool to search for vendor locations near you: http://drinkswamppop.com/buy/

So, something's been bugging me. What's on The blue tshirt?

People on Reddit have hunted down every prop in this trailer to a ridiculous extent - but no one has mentioned the image on John Gallagher's blue tee shirt.

I can see a simple 1 colour silkscreen image - moon, some clouds, trees, something silhouetted - reminds me of the old 3 dog moon tee shirt, but more minimal. Also the words "the..." But then his cast covers the rest. In fact, whatever's on his tee is cropped out of most of the shots.

I only mention this, because it has been noted that one of the first leads in the original ARG was a shirt. A slusho tshirt.

Unfortunately, unless somebody recognizes this shirt from a place like Threadless, it's hard to identify. JJ Abrams also has a custom silkscreening shop in his offices, so it's possible this is not an existing product & was custom made.

Got the same generic email.

Actually, all of the product stuff is what's killing me. In Cloverfield, the first thing that was found was the 1-18-08.com website, coming from that initial teaser with just the release date. In Super 8, the initial hint came from the phrase at the end of the first trailer. In this movie, we've only come up with clues from a product. I feel like something is being missed. Both of the other films I mentioned had products associated with them too, but they weren't what lead people to the movie specific site. I feel like something else in the trailer should lead us to something that's more movie specific.
