Ummm guys? lets all take a step back and remember that this is about a "potential viral campaign". I haven't said much the past few days because there is nothing to really discuss at the moment. Sadly a bunch of dead ends unless Swamp Pop gives us an ACTUAL lead. But you guys and gals need to relax. This is suppose to be a fun thing that we can all work together on. Now i also understand that with a game like this, there will be discrepancies between opinions and speculations, but it's starting to get really stuffy and rude on this forum. If i want to see that ill hop back on Reddit lol. Anyways that's my two cents. Let's all be civil, friends

Maybe part of the reason nothing's happened with Swamp Pop is all this nonsense erupted over some people who think they know it all deciding it's a dead end cash grab, tossing a wrench into it themselves, then can't figure out why nothing's opening up. It did open up and they shrugged it off

It'll be on their schedule, not ours.

And I'd like to point out again that it is all of us who are going about it the way we did the original game but to stop and think that through a minute, based on C1 and 10CL, even if it's in the same universe during the same period of time, the leads wouldn't be the same.

Setting Swamp Pop aside for a minute - we get the trailer. The date is not the url, nobody outside an ARG person would pay any attention to the drink on the table anymore than they'd pay attention to the sunflowers. It's background prop pieces. There is a straightforward website with a movie poster. The trailer is now in the process of being released across the globe.

It could be, if there is an ARG attached, things begin happening after all that happens so it's not exclusive just to USA. I'm pretty sure there are other Cloverfield ARG fans in other places besides US

So far it's all been straight forward (setting SP aside, of course). I'm still of the opinion SP was in game and this debate derailed it a little but there will be something to evolve from it in a bit or they will engage, as referenced in their stock replies that they will add us to their waiting list and a rep will be in touch to assess priority.

It's on their terms no matter how ya slice it. There hasn't been anything more to come of the trailer. Unless all these variations point to something.

Or we're expecting it to follow the same reveal as C1 and it might be quite different this time *because* we're expecting it - that'd be too easy ;-p

Paramount Pictures YT shows the trailer we all got hit with out of left field as Trailer #1.

There seem to be several more international releases and two versions that have different titles: "Monsters" and "Many"

And in both of these, the song "I Think We're Alone Now" isn't in them. It's just tense musical beats. Neither of them show the Life scenes.

It's certainly a troll. Other posts in the blog itself talk about it being a fan created ARG for the original Cloverfield. Looks like the author resurrected it to capitalize on the current situation.

Also found on reddit are links to Winstead and Gallagher's tshirts which are, just, SO generic. Genericy-generic, cheap-mall-store generic. So they're nothing. Much like everything else that has been found.

Also on Reddit: a certain person flaming out and causing drama there too. Seriously, time to take a break, ok? ARG's require as much patience as perserverance. *If* there's anything at all to be figured out here the hive mind will find it, eventually. But one way to make sure that doesn't happen is flip out and leave a really bad taste in everyone's mouths.

just my two cents.

If there is a game to be played, we wont have to look over everything with a microscope. The breadcrumb will literally be waved in our faces. No one is gonna set up a game so complex that it will take forever to find it, especially since the movie opens in roughly 7 weeks. IF there is a game, it will pop up fairly soon....hopefully. The original Cloverfield ARG was what brought me into the ARG world, so I'm hoping this pans out...

EDIT- I also think if Swamp pop is not ARG, then they are screwing with us. Remember the "humid" word that was tweeted out and then removed? and the emails asking about the weather? Either someone dropped the ball or someone started the ARG too early and screwed it up.
