New email this AM.
"On a beautiful day in Italy in the 15th century there was a wedding.
The flower girl was bedecked with ribbons; they flowed around her in streams of red, blue, green, and white; looking alternately like water and fire streaming together as she danced in the setting sun. Everyone stared at her youth and beauty as she spun in circles and laughed and sometimes ran over and hugged the bride, who would stop what she was doing to kneel down to kiss the young girl on the lips.
By the end of that day the flower girl would be dead, as would the bride and groom, the bride's father and brother, and the rest of the wedding party. If anyone ever knew the name of the killer or killers, it has been lost to history.
The killings were said to have been caused by a small deck of painted and gilded cards known as Trionfi. The deck had been given as a gift to the groom, who loved to play cards.
Afterward, people whispered among themselves that the cards had been cursed."
So is this a new deck? I still have limited access so can't poke around much. Good to see old people and new!
Hey amandel! Long time no type.

Winter in a reply email wrote:
Thank you for your photograph!
I noticed the same thing about Anna's twitter. I don't think she is being as forthcoming as I would like.
Faithfully Yours, Winter Sylvana
A real thing or just a chicken wing? Anyone who ultimately contacts Anna plse feel free to use this info if you wish. Cyas.

New story and tweet
Story
Quote:
The High Priestess
The girl had been dead for hours and still she looked beautiful. The detective shoved a piece of gum into his mouth and wished he had a cigarette. He was struck by how little evidence there was of any kind of crime. Usually, he could smell the evidence. His vision was so acute he could practically see forensic evidence with the naked eye. This time, all he could smell was ample amounts of baby powder, and under that, the faint scent of chlorine. Suddenly, he was quite confident that she had been in a swimming pool at some point that day. He made a mental note to ask M. about it.
The girl was very pale but wore quite a bit of makeup, and it looked like it had been professionally applied. She wore a long white gown. He had never seen a body look so relaxed and peaceful in death, and he didn't quite know what to think of it.
Her name was Rebecca Blue and she was a stripper. She came from nowhere and her body was discarded behind a dumpster and nobody would care that she was dead.
It was time to call M.
The detective spit his gum into a wrapper and reached for a cigarette.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
8 and 11
11 and 8
What lies behind the switch
Will seal our fate...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
is now what is written on hidden.foolschildren.com
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This refers to the numbering of the Strength and Justice Major Arcana cards. Exoteric tarot cards subsequent to the 18th century gave the number 11 to Strength and 8 to Justice.
These were reversed in the Rider Waite deck as in the decks used by most occult schools.
The reason is whatever card is numbered 8 represents the zodiac sign of Leo, and the picture for the Strength card shows a woman taming a red lion. Whatever card is numbered 11 corresponds with Libra and the picture for the Justice cards shows a woman carrying the scales.
So the answer to the riddle is likely astrology or the stars will seal our fate. Although I haven't had a chance to do further exploring.

Also the order make an interesting read.
Quote:
Strength is traditionally the eleventh card and Justice the eighth, but the influential Rider-Waite-Smith deck switched the position of these two cards in order to make them a better fit with the astrological correspondences worked out by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn , under which the eighth card is associated with Leo and the eleventh with Libra. Today many decks use this numbering, particularly in the English-speaking world. Both placements are considered valid

I sent Winter an email about that...
"That Golden Dawn (and others) have their influential hands in a lot of cookie jars, huh?
I was wondering when they would show up in this…. "
Her reply:
"Pfffff...they are a bunch of cultist amateurs. Unfortunately, their kind are like a fire that can never be tamped down permanently. And yes, they play a role in our story."
Interesting indeed.

Another fire related clue then.
Have been trying hundreds of permutations on Web addresses but sadly no hits yet.
