THAC drinking game: Every time Troy and Noah say the words "there are big things coming" or "we can't wait to show you the stuff we've been working on" you take a sip. You'll need your stomach pumped before you finish a single episode of BNWYDSE.

For the supposed character development, I know less about the trio than I know about casual acquaintances. I don't even know if they were still in contact with their family or anyone else who might wonder why they were suddenly acting crazy. And once you move outside of the main trio, forget it, the most significant thing we learned about Sarah was her family name & that I guess she died off-screen.

Hah, I remember you. As poor at critiquing this series as ever I see. Like their family lives backstory? That's what you're complaining about now?

Wait, we learnt Sarah's last name?

As I recall, everyone's last names appeared in the end series credits, which I thought was neat.

I don't remember you at all. No, the point was that I disagree with the notion that the walking in the forest scenes were usually necessary for character development, since they didn't talk that often & rarely gave much information about themselves even when they did. That's not inherently a problem, hence why it's not in my list of problems.

That's what I've heard.

I think I misunderstood what he was saying. I thought he was saying that Tim & Joseph had collaborated on a teaser video for a new horror series. Do we know if Tim & Joseph are collaborating, actually?

There'a a little thing in storytelling called "show, don't tell"; character development is possible by showing how characters behave, not by having them blandly recite details about their past.

All I was doing was expressing a hope that they might get together and do something, because that solo work by Tim - though not horror - was pretty fun and well-made.

There were parts in MH season 3 that I'd probably agree were boring but you're just changing what you're saying at this point.

I'm going slightly off topic, but her last name is Reid. There should be a link to a tumblr post with Troy or Tim confirming it.

Eh. If you don't want to believe me on what my own point is, there's nothing I can do about that.

Much detail on Tim's childhood was given, & not in a manner that many would call "blandly reciting details about his past."

Might be interesting.

Either you think that the fact that family backgrounds weren't expanded on in MH is compelling evidence of a lack of characterization or you don't. It's what you said.

The point is that we know relatively little about them beyond surface details. The lack of information about their family life is an example demonstrating that. I think it's an effective example because it would be pretty hard to really get to know someone without finding that out, that kind of information tends to come up fairly early on. This is as clear as I can make it.

I think that's a factor of your experience and local culture informing your views rather than a universal truth. I have plenty of friends where the subject of family stuff doesn't come up very much and that's been the case since I went to colleges.

Rewatch the series.

I think MH's biggest problem was that it lasted too long.

I do like how it took someone making a thread implying CL44 was put on the backburner for Troy to address the poor upload schedule we've been getting. I could wait a month or two for a MH entry back in day, but that was when we got a 8-10 minute Entry by the end of it. I don't like waiting almost 2 months for a 2-3 minute video with no development.

I want to argue this but I can't. I think Noah was been in THAC for too long.
