Well, I have two observations:

1) A swift Google of "Ogdoad" has a lot of interesting information. Looks like we're dealing with religious mysticism and numerology here. That's pretty cool!

2) Well, I got something intelligible, but there's probably more to it. I'll spoiler it anyway.

Oh good! I was debating making a thread about this.

I sent them a reply last night asking about the importance of 'Chronology', and where to look next, but haven't heard anything back yet.

Glad people here got it too.

I'm wondering if there's any significance to the empty boxes, or the out of order letters. Possibly connected to the first line of the email "The power of two [cubed]"? That line feels like there's something more to it than the rest.

To be clear, I didn't get the email; I just worked with what kira1000 sent to us. But, I did try to work on cubing the numbers (as well as squaring them) and then finding a way to cipher them, but they came up completely indecipherable.

In addition to the egyptian association, there is also a gnostic aspect to the term ogdoad. I have studied gnosticism a little bit, but never touched on this concept in depth. I am looking into it further as I have time (at work)

The only addition I have to the work everyone has done regarding the substitution cypher grid is the possibility that it could be something like CRON_ _ _ _ THEOLOGY. Though I am unaware of any specific theology beginning with CRON off the top of my head. Maybe there is something in the numbers that could fill in the blanks.

Hey everyone, I didn't get the email either, but this looks really interesting! It looks (to the naked eye) that the "h" and the "o" in the grid are other images that just sort of look like an "h" and an "o." Can we make anything of that?

In the chronology of gnosticism there is exists first, the one (depth). Through the the creative thought of depth another emanation is formed called silence or the barbalo or sometimes "Forethrought". Depth and Silence give birth to Mind and Truth (Nous and Aletheia), who give birth to Word and Life (Logos and Zoe), who give birth to Man and Church (Anthropos and Ecclesia). These pairs of aeons make up the complete of Godhead (Pleroma), and the first eight Aeons that have been expounded here are the Valentinian Ogdoad.

The picture of the spiral also calls to mind the idea of the ogdoad as the spheres of the heavens.

I don't really see a puzzle in that response email. I did some research on the phrases "light-like," "space-like," and "time-like." They all imply that we're dealing with some high-level science, particularly that of quantum spacetime and general relativity. Pretty cool stuff, albeit a bit over my head.

I'm wondering if we should try contacting the Ogdoad Order again. Does anyone have any ideas of what we should ask? My suggestion is that we ask about what part of the Ogdoad is broken, as per the first email title. I would do it, but I didn't get the email. Thoughts?
