[TrailHead] Iridescent Ersatz

It's not entirely clear so far what's going on, but who knows. We have a mysterious organization, audio recordings of a night when a mysterious operation seems to have failed due to human error, and a mysterious speaker who seems extremely annoyed about it all. This could go places.

I've put the words Iridescent Ersatz in Google and a few interesting results have popped up.

What kind of interesting results? Also, rec0rding 4 (that's how the video spells it) was uploaded an hour ago. Givin' me a bit of an SCP vibe. Not to mention, it takes place almost exactly two weeks after recording 3.

Another thing to note is the title of the master playlist: audio_thethirdman.

Chapter 1 impressions: the name Silas stood out to me. In the videos, isn't he the guy that flew off his handle and screwed up whatever was going on?

Chapter 2 impressions: in the newest video, the message is that an artifact retrieval mission got screwed up because the artifact started moving. Maybe it was the skull (which the puppet video indicates is named Iridescent)?

Chapter 3 impressions: I'm just gonna call the skull Iridescent for now. Anyway, Iridescent can generate heat, probably to the point where he literally produces iridescent light. Also, Iridescent may be the first memory-sharing monster I've heard of. EDIT: Now that I know he's telepathic, this makes plenty of sense.

Chapter 4 impressions: White was brought up in the videos, I'm sure of it. I just don't remember the context. Also, Iridescent is perhaps a friendly monster?

Alright, now we know what's going on. The person speaking in the videos was there with White and Silas. He didn't know the whole story, though. He seemed pretty pissed that he wasn't told that the artifact they were retrieving was still alive. Brooklyn now serves Iridescent, and the speaker from the videos is probably still after the both of them. The videos so far seem to have been his logs leading up to, and on, the night of the short story.

That's why the playlist is called audio_thethirdman; He was the third man present, whom nobody that survived the night knew about.
