I think I know what "19-Aug-16.mp3" is describing. Its describing the different levels of a place (like a building) and saying who is on each floor and if they have a "sigil". That's what I got out of it, maby someone else can take a guess.

How come none of the people from the beginning want to help us? I understand some of them might loose interest but I've been here since page 15. Its strange to me that their still active on the forums but don't look at this "arg". If you re-read the first few pages, they were able to figure out stuff pretty quickly.

What solid evidence is there to support the idea that the admin is silencing players? Wouldn't silencing participants and encouraging them to drop out negate the purpose of an ARG, which is to get people talking, puzzle solving, working together, etc? Are there people running ARGs where it is encouraged to not share information or isolating certain participants from activity? It just comes across to me as counter intuitive, so I have difficulty believing this is the direction for this one.

I think the more likely scenario is that people drop out due to lack of activity/slowly waning interest/etc.

There were 4 geocache boxes (http://www.ascensionismrecords.com/location) The first was seemingly found by someone outside of these forums, so its contents are unknown. The second geocache box was found by a friend of a participant, and no mention was given of exclusive information for the finder. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1023210&sid=d62bec556d1d620d9399a9d755a42d09#1023210 Third was never found despite the efforts of the original forum team here. The fourth was denoted as "listening" from the start, but no one here has mentioned finding it.

There were 5 players including QPLR in Movement I: GuestUser17 (A1-ICIW), MrToasty (A1-LSBP), Amandel (A31-JIKV), A1-QPLR, and A61-VCLZ (dead).

HI All! Over the last (sleep-deprived) months I've gotten some msgs re "The Ascend Arg" both here and on social media. Now that my lil pagan (finally christened: Sara Juliette) is sleeping through the night am here posting my apologies for not responding in a more timely fashion.

There's neither a mystery nor a conspiracy re my cessation in playing "Ascend"...just simple fatigue and possibly my adorbs infant managed to suck out half-of-my-brain-cells (think "Braindead". that TV series) While I'll always remember "Ascend" as being both innovative and great playing fun am 100% clueless re any recent developments.

It's rare that I look at Uf when I'm not actively playing so am just wishing you ALL happy-clue-hunting!

Not much is going on now. I have tried reaching out to MarCar (from facebook) as well as messaging the admin on facebook, but haven't received any replies. The AMNA-D station is now redirecting to another radio station that plays classical music.

There is a Mark Carter on Facebook, but he's not MarCar. It is important to avoid creating misinformation by confusing the two.

If you have questions for MarCar, you can forward them to me since I know her personally and can pass them on to her.

I'm under the impression that he is just a player like us, but role playing to the admin instead of pushing to solve things like we are. Since the admin seems to be open to picking up anything a player may say and making it canon doesn't mean that everything players say is canon. There is a lot of muddiness/lack of clarity going on, so we have to be careful about not falling for fanfiction.

In short, I haven't seen enough evidence that Mark Carter or other Facebook posters are on the control side of the ARG like the admin is.
