It is a rare treat, since you could possibly put yourself into a diabetic coma by consuming it, but: peanut butter and brown sugar. Wonder Bread really completes the experience, but it can be any kind that you like, probably non-savory.

What does everyone like on their peanut butter sandwiches? Has anyone else ever had Peanut Butter and Pickles? (hamburger dills, not kosher)

Personally, I like to eat peanut butter and syrup together. If you put them both in a bowl and mix em together + bread = yummy Smile

Honestly, I think the hippopotamus could be the enemy of mankind, especially in sufficient quantities. Need proof? Check this out!

Elec. If the clearance is higer than secret. maybe TS or TS/SCI. I dont want to know, but the point is, if the company is paying for the investigation, chances are you have the job. Clearances can take a long time. DSS is very slow with the investigations. They like to take their time. If there is anyway to make sure you get it. Stick around to wait for it. It will help you in the long run, even if you dont get this job.

LOL Don't worry, I'm not sharing. Actually, they've kept me stupidly in the dark about everything. I guess that's good because you can't tell what you don't know, but it's also kind of poor because I've had virtually no instruction in protocol, so I also tend to subscribe to better safe than sorry. Also, it's not a company. It's not THE company either Wink

Speaking from a bit of experience, here... Those kinds of clearances (I'm guessing that it is at very least a TS/SCI (Which, by the by, is the highest level clearance you are permitted to mention publicly)) can take QUITE a long time to obtain. When I got mine a basic TS was running about 18 months, then add another 6 months for the SCI once the TS was awarded.

It can't hurt to keep looking, right? If you might be waiting a long time for a clearance, you might be able to find another job to work until your ship comes in. Waiting for a dream job is a laudable thing, but it can't hurt to have some income in the mean time. You may get a crap job, but you are building experience, learning, and more important, you have an income.

That's basically my plan. I can't wait forever on something which may or may not come through, so I'm back to the job search grind. I'm not even entirely certain the clearance will be issued if I don't get the job, so that limits my options a bit. If I happen to get something halfway decent in the meantime, I'll take it and see how it goes. IT is still pretty suck, and entry-level especially so. I figure if I can't find something else by next summer and this falls through, I'll retrain to be a teacher. The pay is generally crap, but you get more time off than god, which is nice if you've got time-consuming hobbies Smile

Well, that is certainly correct according to Michael Flanders and Donald Swann:

(Although I can't really vouch for them being a reliable source, inasmuch as they also seem to think that the female form of hippopotamus is hippopotama. Mr. Green )

I tried, I really tried to get this thread back on track, but the train not only left the tracks, it plunged off the bridge and washed down the river into the ocean where it was eaten by a....a.....Hip....no, won't do it..a giant squid.

you mean it is off track? I had no idea... I thought I was seeing the our mental stability decay exponentially at a rate proportial to the time the last axon was answered. If this is the case, then peanut butter and hippopatama are natural progressions to experience from this withdrawal... how do YOU feel, beekeeper? Tell me about your mother...
