The cool thing about changing settings on the fly is that I play splitscreen quite a lot and I take turns with a friend that uses Inverted look and I use Normal look but southpaw, without leaving the game ...

Here's a good guide for multiplayer basics.

http://www.1up.com/do/feature?pager.offset=0&cId=3136370

There will be a test over it during the training session so read up... Wink

Just sent a PM

I can help a bit with the training if needed. I've got some strategy and knowledge of maps that may be useful. But, We'll see.

You've got PM!

How does one join one of the clans on Bungie.net? I've looked all over the place and I can't find how to do it.

1. Go to http://www.bungie.net and sign in to passport
2. Search the clan you want to join using this link(i.e. SPDR Ninjas or beekeepers)
3. Once you find the clan click on the clan name and it brings you to the main site page
4. Just below the passport sign in there is a picture. There is a link to "Join this group"
5. Follow instructions on sign up page.

Eclipse - First off thanks. Secondly, if it were a snake it would have bit me. I can't believe I missed it. Embarassed

::sigh::

Now if it had been a message hidden in a picture, I would have found it right away! Laughing

Not on XBL yet. I have to somehow get an ethernet cable up the ductwork into my room (the router's in the basement).

you could go wireless if money isnt an object, as the xbox wireless adapter has a hefty price tag.

I was just thinking about something and realized I haven't been absolutely clear about how I think this whole training thing is going to work.

I have this feeling that there are some people out there that might think I'm pretty darn good and that I'm taking a house pro type position where I'm going to help all the poor folks that don't know what they're doing. Well, that's just not the case.

I AM NOT THAT GOOD.

I get schooled just as much as the next guy, and that's the reason I want to coordinate these training sessions. There are a lot of good players in our midst. Some of us excel on certain boards, or in paticular game types, or with specific teams. There are a ton of players that know more then me and there are a ton of players that know less. My hope, and my goal is to get us all together, and let the people that know more show the people that know less how to play this game.

So, what exactly will I be doing then if I'm not going to be doing all the 'teaching'?

Well, if you haven't noticed yet I enjoy leadership positions. I enjoy getting people together and coordinating so that everyone benefits. So that's what I'm going to be doing. After this first session I hope to have a pretty good idea of where everyone is. I'll see who knows a lot, and who doesn't. That way when the next session rolls around I'll know who to point to and say "hey, listen to that guy about capturing that pesky flag. He really knows what he's talking about." or "Look over there, billy can kill all of us with a single grenade and some chewing gum."

I say all of the above to get this main point across. I will be setting up the structure to allow the trainers to help the trainees, and I definitely plan on learning just as much as I teach.

If you have a forced air heating system, you could drill a hole in the air duct in the basement and pull your wire up through it. Then plug the hole with a bit of silicone or caulk. Run your wire out from behind the vent, or mount a box in the wall above/below the vent to add your e-net jack. That is what I had to do to get phone/cable/e-net in to my bedroom because it is on the second floor and all of our connections are in the basement as well.

Ack! I think Amazon must have shipped my Xbox by express turtle. You people are going to be totally over this game before I even get signed up. I can hear it, now:

"Halo 2? Oh, yeah; that used to be fun, but now, we're all about, like, Mahjong Death Match for the GameCube 2."
