Jerk...

I just ruined another perfectly good keyboard due to your humor.

not that i'm the greatest player in the world either, but i'll offer myself up as some sort of trainer.

I know Blood Gulch, um I mean Coagulation Smile pretty well, and Beaver Creek too. But I'll bet that's somewhat true of most player by now.

I've also been forcibly learning Headlong, thanks to Xbox Live insisting on choosing it in assault mode (a mode which I hate, if anyone can train me effectively in it I will owe you big time) for every single clan match we attempt...

I also know a couple handy somewhat-secret sniper spots on Waterworks that most people seem to have missed.

wow really? I guess I didn't look at the timer. No wonder I looked up at the clock and it was suddenly 1 AM... And after all that we didn't even win Smile

I do want to take a minute to say how awesome it's been routinely playing with and against beekeepers/SPDR Ninjas. It really ups the quality of the playing experience to have a regular group who share some sort of bond already.

I'm impressed with the level of teamwork between beekeepers. I have not seen that in random games.

I haven't had the luck yet to play with any of you all, although I have a few beekeepers on my friends list and am hoping to join you soon.

Saturday night I had some people over for some system link gaming. We had 10 people on 3 TV's playing from about 6pm to 4 am. Anyway I wanted to mention this game we did. We played King of the Hill where the hill was fixed, on the map that is inside a Covenant ship--I can't remember the name.

It was pandemonium. Basically spawn, chuck 2 grenades into the chaos in the center, and then try to rack up 1 or possibly 2 seconds inside the hill. I had so much fun playing this game. It took us forever to rack up 2 minutes, and we were even allowing 'contested' time to count to your total. We tried it with swords once, and rocket launchers a few times. We tried it on Ascension too, which was cool because the hill was inside that little bowl-shaped thing on top. Nothing cooler that chucking a grenade over the top and seeing a body fly out. It's too bad the bodies disappear after a while, otherwise there would have been TONS of them in that circle.

Sorry if this game type is old hat to anyone, I just wanted to mention it because it was my favorite type.

That's because you guys get the key to playing these games. It's about having fun.

I've played only one game with some of you and I had a blast. Since then I've played a dozen or more matches with random people. They whine, they yell, they boss people around..it makes the experience lame and unpleasant.

I hope to play more with you folks. I'll add some more to my friends list tonight.

I'm SO glad we're doing this Wednesday. Very Happy The runthroughs last night helped a bunch. Beaver Creek (didn't it used to be called something different?), Zanzibar, Foundation, and Coagulation I'm pretty solid on, although I don't know where the sword and rocket are on Coagulation if there is one. My requests for maps:

Ascension
Midship (I suck suck suck at this map!)
Burial Mounds
Headlong
Waterworks

I'm moderately solid on Lockout (although I don't know where the swords/rockets are on there either), Ivory Tower, Colossus, and Waterworks, so I can help show people around on those.

Man, it is just like "Durga" said in the over the phone interview. Our teamwork is outstanding. What other group of people playing Halo 2 is going to have a few training sessions, to bring every one up to a uniform level of playing.
Before long we will have the ultimate clan. We will be able to take the haloverse by storm, not because we are great players on our own but because we are unstoppable together!!!! Let them all fear the bee. When others see the wasp on our shoulders and back, they will turn and run, for they know the terror that will be wroght upon them. We did the work to unlock the back story. We have proven that we can work together, despite our geographic locations. We are very resouceful people and we take care of our people! We will prevail!

Sorry, I was listening to the Halo 2 soundtrack and felt inspired.

I am very, very, very, very good at singing-whilst-running-great-distances in Coagulation, so angelo, please put me down as Head Trainer for that area, mmmkay?

I think we could all learn a little something about singing during the game from you Wink. That's what I love best about playing with you guys..your willingness to talk and joke and have a good time. Playing the matchmade games gets you mostly silence and lame-o attempts at trash talk.

Too bad that can't be broadcast over the chatter network to the opposing team. They would instantly wet their pants and go running as their heads pop.

for those of you that have not had a chance to hear krystyn, that is exactly how she sounds.

You know, that could really be a tactic. In certain team-based events (i.e., where your position is not a secret from the other team), a team that could sing something loud and intimidating would drown out the other team's chatter and possibly even scare them. The headsets really add an audio tactical dimension to the game --other than just taunting your enemy after a kill. I suppose you could even split the microphone input and plan an intimidating soundtrack, like a movie monster tracking a victim. How scary would it be, if someone could hear Freddy sneaking up on them?

I actually like to sneak up behind krystyn and breath heavily into my microphone, or repeatedly say her name before wacking her in the back of the head.

XBL Connection

Long time lurker, infrequent poster. Best buy has a wireless Linksys game adapter which works with XBox. It can be pricey at $99.99 but it does come with a $20 gift card. Once you've made this purchase, you can use the gift card for a headset or XBL subscription. I just got through setting mine up and I don't see any speed issues.

I just finished the campaign mode over the weekend and would love to play with some of you on XBL. Gamertag: kaberA
