Maybe this isn't super kosher, but I'm going to bump this thread to see what happened to it. Has anyone found the next solve, or have we hit a dead end?

Glad you brought this back up MM!
As Regula123 brought up eons ago http://aby551an.xyz/OnlyTheStrong/ has some suspicious static that suggests some steg.
From the clues here http://aby551an.xyz/WITHIN/ it is probably stegged with
OutGuess with likley password WITHIN Within within. I've never been able to get that program to download/operate properly. Anyone have OutGuess up and running that could give this a go?

I've tried maybe 5 stenographic tools that have all been next to unworkable. Time to add OutGuess to the list, I suppose.

Mooker-
I have a time frame when I can get OutGuess running on my elderly PC.
ETA= Not in this lifetime
Not to worry though. I have a:
PLAN B
Wait for someone with OutGuess to wander by and render aid. http://aby551an.xyz/OnlyTheStrong/
My understanding is that it's do-able on a Mac.
Or maybe someone from the Cicada 3301 days. This puzzle resembles one of theirs- like a lot.

Yeah, I suppose we will have to wait for someone. I've tried it a couple of times and I just seem to be missing some element of the equation. Oh well; I'm more of a literature puzzle solving kind of guy, anyway.

Hint: Try using OutGuess Rebirth rather than the older, command line version.

I'm stuck trying to find a safe download for it. Any website suggestions? I'd also love to know what you found with your stenographic efforts!

Hmm, downloaded it a while back, not sure where to get it safely anymore.
Below is the extracted text:

Hi!
Budd Royce here. I'm the executive producer for the Abyssian Knights project at Dev Null Studios and also the idiot behind the ARG(or whatever you want to call this thing).
Someone who was going through all this stuff pointed me to this forum and I'm honestly just happy to know that people have found the game and actually attempting it.
The game itself is really just for entertainment purposes and not in an attempt to push the Kickstarter(which is now over). I actually started this prior to the Kickstarter to create a community by leveraging a cross disciplinary skillset to help bring people together. That and maybe get people to mentor the new people who are getting into the game to show them how to approach the problems.
A new version of the game is currently in the works but won't be ready for a while. It has been re-designed to procedurally generate a unique puzzle for each person playing the game and it'll be much easier to prevent spoilers because answers alone won't be of much help.
I love reading the discussion here and hope you all enjoy the game!
Cheers,
Budd

That most certainly happened. It took every player that posted here to move this thing along.

I believe everyone learned some things, I know I did.
Thanks for creating this ARG(ish) thing! If the point was "entertainment purposes" it did.

I found the next new link which is:

This link goes to what appears to be a weird static image.

My first thought was SSTV so I tried to convert it back to .wav but it appears to be the wrong size for an SSTV output image (1366x768). I have no experience when it comes to steg...

I can post the solve for this next step if people want it?
FYI, the URL usually gives a hint as to how to approach the puzzle, like how
FrenchRevolution was a subtle nod towards the Vigenère cipher.
This one is a bit more esoteric; it helps to have a background in STEM.

Noob here. Where/how did you find this part? I noticed there's a sort of a symmetrical correlation between the numerals, and maybe the location of VIII can help find the location of I?
