When I originally found promography/votress I thought it was the Temple, realized after reading the text that it was the Home Page of the priestess that SpockVulture wrote of....so changed the subject line.

I think jamesi actually found the temple with /dodona because my question was something about finding the temple.....my answer was:

You just did.

Early in the second millennium BCE the worship of the "holy beech tree" sprang up (in other versions an oak tree) today the oak tree is preferred as the oak is sacred to Zeus. During the 13th and 14th centuries BCE the worship of the Pelasgian god Zeus was beginning to be established in Dodona, and the original earth goddess was renamed "Diona" and subsequently became the wife of Zeus (Dias). They both lived among the branches of the holy tree, where the seer-priests interpreted what the god spoke from the rustling of the leaves

Just some obs. about Dodona

Quote:
In the early period there were no buildings as such and according to Homer's epic poem the Iliad, (circa 750 BCE) the priests "slept on the ground, with unwashed feet". But Herodotus wrote (circa 435 BCE) that priestesses had replaced the male priests. " These priestesses called themselves doves" (peleiades), this probably comes from the legend of two priestesses from Thebes in Egypt, who were abducted by Phoenicians, to escape they turned themselves into two black doves and flew away. One landed in Libya (and established a similar sanctuary to that of Dodona). When the black dove alighted on a branch of a tree in Dodona it spoke in a human voice, demanding that an

I asked the question: Who else is seeking the Dodo?
Offering: Breakfast

My reply: Your offering is not valid. Consider the source.

So, I checked out the source code... and lo and behold this statement attached to the alt of the offering box...

"Say something nice about her"

So, Steve, I would have to say that "$1.42" is not so much of a compliment Wink

So! BE NICE! Say she looks thin! Youthful! Intelligent!
You know, all the things you'd say about me Wink

I asked: What did the little bird do?
Offering: you are radiant like the sun

Quote:

ANSWER: The little bird killed my servant and freed the vacca foeda. He must be punished.

From what I know of my spanish, "vaca" is cow...
Translating results in "stupid cow" = "vacca foeda" in latin.

So, who is the stupid cow?
And who is the servant?

My undervalued offering

My offering of $1.42 was totally glossed over as meaningless, but it is in reality of the highest value! Come on, folks! Back me up on this!

As proof, see
http://www.empirenet.com/~dljones/

42! 42! 42! 42!!!

My offering was a pearl of great price that was cast of as food for swine.

Oh, Pythia! I implore you!! Give my offering another chance!!! I know you're out there and can hear me!!!

*sob!*

Cow could be the blue lady, or possibly one of Zeus' many lovers. Seem to recall that one was turned into a cow or something.

I decided to ask her something just for the hell of it, I'm mostly lurking in this game.

Asked: How did life come to exist?
Offering: The respect from a new adult entering the world

Her response: "Your offering is not of the sort requested; it's even better, as it is worship in a more direct way.

As for your answer: blood. Lots and lots of blood.

And clay."

There's that blood again like in 42guy's answer. And ass-kissing really works well!

Someone ask her what the code/10 digit combination is (in so many words). Spock Vulture eluded that she knows it in his last message.

I deleted my cookies, but it still won't let me ask her another question.

The oracle says your ten digit code is 4 5 3 15 14 6 12 9 3 20, go ahead and try it but I think she's playing a game as it translates to deconflict (or negotiate)....so does she want you to negotiate with her for release? How else can we help?

somehow i don't think she's going to tell us how to do that.

what do you want with ewan?
what will you do with him once you have him?

she answered

I don't need him, I just want to grind his bones to a powder.

You asked two questions but you get one answer

Shocked
i'm not so sure she's very likeable, what can we use her for if she is the anti-ewan?
