52 Master Pieces
armchair treasure hunt, free to enter

(I am not affiliated with the production of this item, just thought people here would be interested.)

New hunt coming "soon" and a demo site already up and running with puzzles and riddles to be solved. There are small prizes, intermediate prizes, and grand prizes -- and everything is free to enter!

"52 Master Pieces"
Solve 52 pieces, then FIND and REDEEM the Grandmaster Key.

(other vids):
52MP youTube channel
donations (crowd-funding for a hard-copy of the book):

The creators have also posted over on Tweleve:
David Cohen (calvin)
Steve Geller (milltycoon)

Since this is ultimately a contest, I don't expect there to be much cooperation for the keys, but a discussion might ensue as to the game mechanics and the minor riddles. If I've read the description correctly, the website itself will give hints and solutions for everything not related to the master contest.

To anybody that hasn't yet headed over there, it is well worth the time - whether or not any prizes are still up for grabs (they are not being announced until 20 August)

Just wanted to keep people here updated, in case you weren't following their dedicated forum -- more answer key pop-ups have been unlocked. From the main site, click on the megaphone icon at the bottom to see other revisions, error-corrections, and new clues.

Grand prize winners were announced back in August. Six prizes have not yet been claimed, with these remaining:
  • Master Politician
  • Master Police Officer
  • Master Entrepreneur
  • Master Jeweler
  • Master Locksmith
  • Yoga Master

And this week, an email was sent out to announce new hints added to the website.
Quote:
Hello again Twelevers,

We've updated the 52 Master Pieces website with a new feature called "How to Solve a Master Piece." The six prizes listed above are still available, so if you've been wondering how the contest works and hoping to win one of the prizes, click the big new button on the first page of the site (52masterpieces.com) and give it a try.

Now that the underlying contest method has been revealed, we hope that puzzle enthusiasts like you will take this opportunity to revisit the site and share this project with teachers, students, and curious minds of all ages. As always, the site is free (with no ads), with a simple goal of promoting "enthusiasm-based learning" by sharing our favorite collection of classic and original puzzles.

Enjoy,
David
