UPDATE: Ewan's livejournal - June 5th

Quote:

I had another session with Dr. Morrice today. This time I lost two days. I have to get out of here.

He arrived just after my last LiveJournal post, which was odd, as it was outside normal office hours for him. And he did not take me out of the wing and to his office like last time, but rather unlocked what I thought was a closet door and lead me down a flight of dirty, dusty stairs bearing recent footprints, down into what I think had once been a laundry room. He had me sit in the lone metal folding chair and he put me under.

I don't remember anything he said or asked or did, but he must have hit upon something without realizing it because the first thing I knew I felt something inside my head -crack!- like a walnut in a vice and suddenly I could see out of my eyes again. Dr. Morrice did not notice, but turned away and strolled over to a desk against the wall. There was a reel to reel dictation machine sitting on it with a microphone attached by a long, thin cord. He picked it up and began whispering into it while daintily rolling an scalpel back and forth between his thumb and forefinger. I think I heard him say something about one of the girls that had gone missing from the ward, presumed escaped.

I have to get out of here. I pretended to still be hypnotized. I don't think I was supposed to have regained consciousness. Eventually Dr. Morrice stopped dictating into his little machine and returned to stand in front of me. He snapped his fingers nine times and I decided this must be the key that was meant to bring me out from under his hypnotic spell, so I blinked a lot and shook my head and asked him what was going on. He took me back to my room.

I have to get out of here. The door requires a ten-digit code. There must be some way to find it out, as Heph did. Why did I ever trust him? It must have been part of the hypnotic spell he had me under. I wanted to believe in him. He seemed so unconventional, so hip. He was so much less stuffy than Dr. Rendell. Oh my god, I bet he killed Dr. Rendell.

I have to get out of here.

Uh-oh.
