I really enjoyed looking through the stats from the last game we played.

It gave me a lot of insight into my own personal game when my team is down, and it gave me a lot of insight into each person's game that I played with.

Trainers, this is the type of stuff you need to look through after 'scrimages' with your trainees. (for those who don't know we will be having scrimages consisting of only the trainees, with the trainers watching after each training session).

Things to note:
*Number of Kills
*Medals won (how many, and which ones)
*PVP (who seems to have 'dominated' the opposing team. This is usually the person who's name shows up a lot in the 'Most Killed By' section.)
*Hit percentages (this tells you a lot about what weapon the person most likely uses. EX: Kailong's 45% tells me he most likely used a sniper weapon, hop over to the medals and see he has 7 sniper kills...)

Also, get familiar with the game viewer. It tells a lot about each teams strategy. Such as where did they most likely enter the base, where were the defenders located, which weapons were they successful with, etc.

Stats are invaluble.

especially considering most of the time we were outnumbered Razz

and I will keep using the excuse until I start winning regularly - I had to relearn the controls entirely for Halo 2! You try switching your moving and turning sticks... I had to go from southpaw to default... so... nyah

yeah, but you had angelo, who sniped my whole team singlehandedly on a number of occasions!! (or at least a good number of us at a time) and hey, you had my friend donbrado, who knows nothing of bees.

That's actually a wonderful lesson on the importance of team work. In a one on one match (or even a one on two match Wink ) I could probably take on anyone that was in that game last night and win, or come extremely close to winning, but in a team game, one person can not carry a team if the opposing team is willing to work together.

I think I had pretty good stats on my own in that game, but we didn't rally as a team like your team did (which is kinda what I wanted to have happen so we could have this exact conversation today).

So, this is what I'd like to see from you trainers, and any trainees that are interested in learning some of this stuff. From looking at the stats and from your personal experience (if you were in the game) what did the two teams do that lead one to success and one to failure?

that's why I'm glad we're on the same team!! Cool

It was kinda weird, though, I found myself in more of a leadership role last night that I thought I would; I haven't done too much team stuff, so I figured others would take control, but no dice.

We need to figure out how to overcome good defenders, without dying 6 times each in the process. We need to work on having people to cover the runners, and protecting vehicles, and we probably need to get a solid strategy down for each map.

Was it you guys I was playing king of the hill with last night? A very important rule I learned quickly is to not have the whole team bunched together in the hill!! Embarassed

Man you guys are killing me with envy. My Xbox died last night and I don't have a fat-pipe in my work week location. You guys are going to make me spend extra loot just so I can get my butt haned to me.

Oh, yeah.

(the scene before you appears idyllic - it's just a buncha Spartans all gathering once more in the middle of a gorgeous, sunny canyon, working diligently at honing their skills before the skies darken with Covenant ships. A creek runs through the middle of the area, and a lone smartass steps atop a red boulder, his yellow armor gleaming, his conniving face hidden by his shiny reflective orange visor.)

ANGELO: OK, so guys, just so I don't have to keep pressing on this white button, can you all meet in the middle of the creek there, yeah, just sort of gather together, and you can all hear me on the proximity ... right, OK! So!

IHRTHALO2: hey guys, why is he pointing that rocket launcher at us ... ?

BEES4BREKKY: AAAAAAAAAA!

ANGELO: *pulls trigger*

CREEK: Boom!

BODIES: *fling!*

BLOOD: *everywhere*

FISTS: *shaking in rage at angelo*

RESPAWN SCREEN: *full of red x's*

ANGELO: Ahahahahahahahaa! POWAH!!!

That's got to be the best story write up of any of my antics...

Did I mention I'm looking for a good bard?

It was kindof humorous seeing all those red x's at once...And that recap is classic.

it's a little confusing, but the bungie.net forums are not exactly clans. The clans themselves are run exclusively on xbox live, though the bungie.net forums seem to have developed into a place for clans to organize. The two systems just aren't linked; you have to join each separately.

Eclipse: if you can pass on your gamertag to me I'll drop you an invite asap.

l0rd0fm0rgul: Inviting you now :D

Clans: on XBL, only 100 people
Groups: on b.net, Ah, more than 100

Clan != group
